TYLER PERRY DESTROYS TV'S 4th WALL, AS HIS MADEA ROUTINE FAILS HOP AGAIN
The reprieve of that nightmare before-Christmas-disaster, totally ruined by the interference of TP's Madea character, is forced on us again in the "Wife Swap" episode of Tyler Perry's House Of Payne, and it was no better.
It was enough that TP violates the Fourth Wall to hock his film "Why Did I Get Married"...
(The Fourth Wall is a term to describe the invisible wall between the audience and the actors on-stage. This is because in proscenium theaters, the set was usually three walls of a room. The audience was therefore "The Fourth Wall," and ignored by the actors. When an actor addresses the audience directly, it is called "Breaking the Fourth Wall.")
but TP goes as far as ignoring all conventions of the situation comedy to mean-spiritedly address his critics directly... and to taunt intelligent and decent people with a reverse-discriminatory snobbery...
I mean, almost as bad as the condescension was in his voice when he performed his imitation of Oprah on his own so-called "talk show"...
and TPHOP is still illogical, pointless, awkward, senseless, provocative, niggardly, chitlin, and shamelessly plugging its holes with has-been black actors.
This poorly produced episode of TPHOP was obviously an in-your-face snub from Tyler Perry, and it was personal. Seems as if someone's got his goat and he's mad about it.

I just want to thank my friend that told me about this. I've been thouroughly amused by the hoopla. What I would like to know before I go back to my real world:
Silko what shows do you like? And do you expend as much energy praising those as you do trashing this one. I just have to know, because in the scope of the universe I live in, this is so tright.

...It's none of your business which shows I "expend" over, or like or dislike, or which ones I praise the most and why. Your question is a punk-suggestion, son...

..."trite" is misspelled (and no doubt misunderstood), but a correct descriptor of your love for Randy Jackson's America's...

I have no idea what you hope to accomplish by what you've asked...
but I'm fairly sure that there's Kool-Aid in your universe.
