tv listing print is missing
The print button is gone from the listing page.
What's the deal?
Online listings are basically useless if you can't print them and take them to the room with the tv...

It never worked for me anyway, so personally I can do without it.
If print never worked and then it goes away, was it ever really here? If a tree falls in in the woods....

They know the "print" button is missing! In fact they most likely deleted it deliberately because they may think that if we cannot print out the listings, then we will be forced to spend money for their weekly guide.
This would be them thinking this move would increase their "bottom line" over that of last year, and result in a greater income for them.
This is "stinkin' thinkin'" as our next move is either to use the computers "Print" function and print out the entire page, stupid ads and all . . . or to simply use the Tv guide listings in the daily newspapers.
Either way, all they have succeeded in doing is to build "bad will" among those of us that previously thought this was a pretty good company, in spite of their erroneous listings.

heh. Sadly, I think your logic is probably spot on. But I let my tv guide subscription lapse because the new format sux. The listings became useless and too small to read.

The recent influx of animated ads on the listing got me to install an ad & flash blocker for the first time. Won't be printing their page - it looks like crap with all the xtra stuff. Instead I've been printing zap2it's grid this past week.

That is ridiculous. People who like to read the TV Guide will get it anyway. Printed out version or not.

You can print TV listings at zap2it. I prefer TVguide but, now I will just use zap2it. no use coming here anymore.

The only thing more absurd than thinking removing print functionality from the grid will get me to buy a magazine is the suggestion itself. Maybe TVGuide.com was in the grassy knoll that day in Dallas back in November of '63.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the listings on TVGuide.com, but the articles and show pages are sooo much better than the other sites that have listings, which is the bigger reason why I stay here. And the other listings sites seem to always have incorrect programs listed - more than TVGuide.com. Just my 2 cents...

I still prefer the copy in print. So, yes, it could be that IŽll go out an buy it even if I could download it. Ops..

I totally agree! What's up with that??? It certainly won't make me go buy a TV Guide! I'll just switch to another online listing service! Please return the "print button"!

Without the ability to print, the TVGUIDE site is useless to me. Fortunately, Zap2It site 'TV Listings' has better print capability anyway. Good luck to TVGUIDE, and see the rest of you at Zap2It!

Thanks guys!!
I was looking for an alternate place from which I could print out my listings guide for the week (each week).
I checked out zap2it.com and it is BETTER than what is displayed at this site!
TV Guide, you have a history of screwing up and I have been patient with you long enough. This last screw-up (deleting the "print" button) has caused me to finally take some action and find a better place!
So long . . .

First off, I agree that no print button is not acceptable. I've complained myself and got the canned "we're working on it" response from TV Guide. But as a former Zap2it user, that's not a reason to leave TVGuide.com. Aside from the fact Zap2it has its own quirks (thier favorite channels feature is the worst), they have always been horribly inaccurate and the real reason I use TVGuide.com is the show pages, as I get my listings there (which can be printed, **amazingly**) and I also read the recaps and other articles that only TV Guide offers when I'm setting up my TV week and my DVR.
I'm actually somewhat amazed by the harsher responses here from a few of you - which you're all entitled to - as grid printing never worked for me in the first place.
