Sick of TV Guide Petition?

This is ridiculous. I'm sick of having to wait like 3 hours to see all the channel listings. It's not just that 2/3 of the screen is showing annoying crap. It's also all the crap they show that is actially in the guide bars. All the "Family favorites" and junk like that. It takes longer to cycle through that than all the channels. The TV guide channel has one purpose: to show the channel listings.

That being said, I know alot of people agree with me. But they aren't going to change it because of few people on the message board. Pretty much everyone I know hates the TV guide channel. Maybe we should start an online petition.

Oh yes! I am so sick of all the BS on TV Guide Channel!

I dont want to watch all the crap they put on there. I dont wanna watch John Faggotsang or Joan and Melissa. I want one thing and one thing, only- TV Listings.

I get so ticked when the already-too-little 1/3 of the screen is further reduced to maybe 1/20 of the screen in order to show something stupid I dont even want to watch!

Please start a petitition!

I saw the tv guide at a friends house before it was installed in mine. I mentioned this at the office when I paid for the service. The girl at the desk said that they had no control over this.

But,,,,where's the petition? I'll sign it!

Ditto to all. TV Guide Channel has forgotten its core purpose: to inform viewers of TV schedules. Yes, TVG can make money with adverts - more power to 'em. But further shrinking TV schedule screen space to cover crap like Emmy Pre-Show? COME ON! TVG: YOU should start a SURVEY of your viewers. About your content, screen balance, and so-called feature shows. Right now I deliberately do NOT purchase items that are advertised on your channel - as a protest for such consumer-UNfriendly business practices of your channel management.

I am very tired of all the garbage that appears at the top of the channel. Some of the programs I don't mind but the filthy shows that should be restricted to HBO or Showtime should not be on. For instance it is 8:31 pm here in my timezone and they are showing Strange Love. It's a program I don't appreciate having thrown at me since I didn't request it. Hollywood has lost touch with the decent part of society. Hollywood is disgusting and it worries me that Washington DC is in bed with them. Oops, sorry. My political side is showing.

I agree 100% about the partition with the commercials in the center and top of the channel guide. I complained to the site a while ago and whether or not that was heard, they stopped the messages in the center. Recently they have continued again. I compared it to a billboard in the middle of an interstate highway. Nobody wants it there and nobody is going to solicit the company sponsoring that banner. At least I'm not and only for that reason: creating an inconvenience for the readers. We need a lot more voices and maybe we will be heard.
