New to Sopranos. Feeling lonely here..lol

Hello out there. Looking through the episodes of this show, I see it has been on for a long while, but I'm new to The Sopranos. Not having access to HBO there are lots of shows I've never seen. Since it now airs on A&E I've become a late fan. I'm not a prude by any means but I am glad they cleaned up the language. That four letter F-word got old real quick when I did get a chance to catch a glimpse of the show. Tony's mom is a trip! Love it when she says, "My son, the mental patient". Just caught the epi where the old man's girlfriend talked too much about their sex life..lol. This is a great show and I have so many back episodes to read over but I still find it very entertaining.

Thanks to any old fans who do read this. Just wanted to share my enthusiasm about my new favorite TV show.

Sylvie,
Are you telling me that the final episode will air in April? If so, I've missed out on just about the whole series...lol.

I am a member of one of those rent movie by mail companies. The only problem I will have with renting is (and I am NOT a prude by any means)on A&E they cleaned the language up. I enjoy it so much more, as I wrote before, without having to hear that F-word over and over.

I totaly agree it's a fantastic show. I was addicted to NYPD Blue and went through withdrawl when they took that off the air. I know it's still on now in the wee hours of the morning. The Sopranos have helped with my withdrawl...lol.

Thanks a bunch for your reply. I'm not feeling quite as lonely now.

The Sopranos is a fantastic show. After becoming more familiar with the various characters and their subtle nuances, I'm now in awe of the writers as well as the actors.
Have been too cheap to buy the series on DVD up until now, but the A&E version just doesn't cut it (except in an emergency when I'm going through Soprano withdrawls).
If I had a gripe at all about the show, it would be that Adriana was killed off. Drea de Matteo is without a doubt the hottest woman on the planet and I hated to see her go.

I agree. The show is fantastic. A lot better than the crap the serve us on CSI Miami. David Caruso is nothing but a cheap tool.
