As the World Turns Stork News: It's a Girl
Kelley Menighan Hensley and Jon Hensley by John Sciulli/WireImage.com
Married soap stars Kelley Menighan Hensley and Jon Hensley — aka Emily and Holden of CBS' As the World Turns — just welcomed their third child into the world.
Georgia Grace was born Thursday, June 28 at 8:05 am/ET. The little girl, whose nickname is Gigi, weighed in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 19 inches long. She joins big sister Sophie May, 8, and big brother Spencer, 5.
FYI, Kelley's off on maternity leave, so look for her Emily character to temporarily exit Oakdale on Friday, July 13.
Congrats to the Hensleys on the newest addition to their family!

Maura West and KMH having babies around the same time again took me back to the Spa story a few years back, which worked around the pregnancies of three leading actresses (these ladies plus Martha Byrne) brilliantly. Friendship, romance, suspense...amazing soap storytelling. Congrats to Kelley and Jon!

Why didn't they just name her Gigi to begin with?

Isn't it ironic how the marriages of actors in daytime television - where most storylines center around adultery and infidelity - are exponentially more stable than most marriages and relationships spurned out of Hollywood?
Congrats to the Hensleys for the healthy baby and happy marriage!

Great news! Congrats to the Hensleys! Wow, it seems like just yesterday I was watching Holden jump out of the hayloft and meet Lily for the first time, or that I was upset by the choice of the new Emily at the time. Sorry, Kelley, I was totally wrong! You are Emily! Well, never mind, but you are an amazing actress and the BEST and ONLY Emily. By the way, Jon looks so cute and hot off-screen, he's a bit more funky with his fashion and his hair, I love it! Why does the show hide his hunkiness and make Holden so tame now? Bring back the fiery Holden of days gone by. Shirtless! LOL. PS- I hope ATWT has a nursery for their growing bundles of joy, just between Maura, Kelley, Martha, and Terri alone, the show should really invest in a day care center, if they haven't already.

Shameless plug alert, suds fans!
As long as you're doing your last-minute holiday shopping anyway, I just thought I'd remind ya that my book, The Q Guide to Soap Operas, makes a great soapy stocking stuffer.
FYI: You can now order autographed copies from our own TV Guide Store.
They're offering this due to all the e-mails I've gotten from folks who really, really want signed copies of the book, even if they can't get to one of my book-signing events.
By the way, I'm not the type of author who just carelessly scrawls an illegible autograph inside a book jacket. Not only do I give good cursive handwriting, I do pretty doodles! (I'm a bit of a frustrated visual artist.)
Get your autographed copies of The Q Guide to Soap Operas right here!
