Natalia Livingston: In or Out at General Hospital?

Good news! General Hospital goddess Natalia Livingston — aka the long-suffering Dr. Emily Quartermaine — has signed a new deal with the ABC sudser.
Ms. Livingston, 31, issued this rather dramatic statement this morning:
"I have no doubt that my fans, friends and family at GH will easily distinguish between fact and fiction, reject sensationalist headlines, Internet blogsites, and know that if a statement didn't sound like something I would say, I simply did not say it. I released one official statement awhile back when contract negotiations were at a standstill and I am speaking out now... and this is it.
"GH and I started contract negotiations several months ago... both wanting to work something out. We have finally come to a deal where both sides are very happy.
"With that said, I am, have been, and will always be incredibly grateful to GH for giving me such a wonderful job. I love and treasure every single day on the show. I support the writers and producers 100 percent, and am so excited to continue to work with the GH team in the upcoming storyline."
Congrats Natalia! By the way, GH's rep assures me that she wasn't talkin' 'bout moi with that crack about "Internet blogsites." I feel better.

Ugh! Another year of Natalia! GMAFB! I may be ill! Puh-lease! Can't a show of the caliber of GH do better than THIS!!!?
ahem
 ">Sorry...I just wanted to see what it was like to arbitrarily pick the next posted story and slam it. Just to see what the fuss is all about. It makes me feel a little unclean. Yet paradoxically, I somehow feel a little better about myself. Hmmm...">
Anyway, I quite enjoy Natalia Livingston on GH and I'm looking forward to where they take her in the coming year.

Her fans are overjoyed. We worked very hard in the past week through emailing, phoning and writing to make sure TPTB at GH and ABC knew how we feel about Natalia.
We thank Mr. Frons, Mr. Guza and all involved with GH for seeing the value in a wonderful, wonderful actress. Now that you have both Tyler Christopher and Natalia Livingston onboard, we are ready for a wonderful storyline for Nik and Emily. We want our NEM-TV!

baamac, all kidding aside, I'm impressed with the efforts you and your cohorts put in. I would have guessed re-upping NL would have been a foregone conclusion, considering how talented and likeable (and yes, beautiful) she is, but I guess you can't take anything for granted in a soapworld that lets Renee Goldsberry (ex-Evangeline, OLTL) and countless others (Scott Clifton, soon-to-be-Ex-Dillon) slip through their fingers.
Kudos to Natalia fanatics!

I am so glad that Natalia Livingston is staying on the show and will be "alive". So many good actors have been hacked I was wondering if I should give up soaps because it is not the storylines that irritate me but the exiting of wonderful actors.

Natalia's fans are so excited about this wonderful news! She is a beautiful and amazing actress whose talent brings any storyline to life. She pulls us in and allows us to experience and feel whatever Emily experiences or feels. That is a rare dynamic for any actress or actor!
From the moment the rumors started flying around, we sent emails, postal mail, and made phones calls to show our love and support for Natalia. She was always first and foremost in our minds. While we would love to see our favorite couple, Sonny & Emily, reunited, we also want to see Emily all over the canvas and with other characters. We want our girl to shine like we know she can!!
Thank you to the writers and producers who gave us the beautifully written love story of Sonny and Emily.

Thank God for you Daniel with your up-to-the-minute accurate news that isn't ruled by press deadlines. I just received my copy of the latest edition of a very large-sized, legitimate Soap Opera publication [no names but you can figure it out]and it says Natalia is gone from GH.
If you ever want to rename your column, "Daniel Dishes Accuracy" may be a start.
PS I stopped watching the ABC soaps months ago [boring ... not worth my videotape], but I still keep up with them via the soap opera magazines and your column ... at least one per day.

Natalia's fans are so happy that she will be back.
What a wonderful job she did during the Sonny and Emily romance and Bipolar story.
She was also fabulous during the Hostage story.
She needs a good story good writing,and more screen time.
I want to see her with alot of different actors on the show.
I would love to have Sonny and Emily back.There is still so much to tell.
I send Congratulations to Natalia and wish her the best.

I can't understand why so many whiney BAD actors/actresses get paid big bucks on these shows. There are so many great actors/actresses out there that could do so much better. Just look at the huge great find GH got when they cast Lulu. But people like Em and Liz are gaggy and when I watch on tape I use my FF button all the time. Another GREAT find was Dillon and then they didn't use him as they should have and he is gone. When Luke leaves for good so am I unless they come up with more good actors and storylines. Sonny should die today. He makes my skin crawl. He is so slimy and oily it is beyond gross. Okay, you can start your bashing now---I DON'T CARE---these are MY opinions not yours.

Oy, don't get me started on Rebecca Herbst, the most BLAH actress on daytime. Who is currently destroying both Lucky and Jason. She gets worse every year, and yet, she's still there.
