You might have already heard here, but Six Degrees is off the schedule effective immediately. I'll let you know if I hear anything about plans to air the remaining episodes.

So do we get to see this week's eppy then no more after that? It is showing on abc.com as airing the new eppy this Friday on TV.

The show was much improved since returning.

I'd definitely like to second that "crap!" I was so excited the show was back, and now I'm incredibly disappointed that it's being pulled. I'm especially peeved to hear it's likely going to be replaced with repeats of Wife Swap. Hmmmm, Campbell Scott and Hope Davis (I was really looking forward to something happening between their characters) or Wife Swap? I guess there's a reason I'm not a network programmer.

What is wrong with these networks! Can't they at least play out these shows that they already have filmed on Friday or Saturday night? What do they have to lose? They never show anything worthwhile on those nights so why not at least reward those of us who want to see what happens but putting the remainder episodes on when they have nothing better to put on.

How do they expect people to commit to a new show when we know the chances are high that the network will just end up screwing everybody by leaving us hanging.

They already spent the money to film these episodes. Why can't they show them to us.

I agree with everyone's comments on this show. I liked it when it first aired and was excited they were going to show the rest of the episodes. I am really getting tired of shows airing a few episodes, getting yanked off the air, put back on briefly and then yanked again. The networks, especially ABC, are just playing havoc with viewers.

ABC obviously doesn't have a clue what it's doing with its programming this year (witness the "Men in Trees" stupidity as well) but I don't understand why they would yank the show again after just 2 episodes. They couldn't possibly have expected big viewing numbers and are repeats of "Wife Swap" actually going to do better? What a god-awful thought. The next couple of eps. look especially interesting according to TV Guide, with Josh Hopkins' new character being the unexpected common link between the others. I'm hoping that ABC at least does viewers the curtesy of showing them on ABC.com. That said, thanks very much for the blog.

I loved the show when it first came out. Then it was gone. Last Friday I just happened upon it while looking for something to watch. I was so excited it was back on the air! Is it really true that it is going to be cancelled?

That SUCKS! ABC did nothing to promote it, and the last two episodes were really terrific. I'm very disappointed. I hope ABC at least shows what's in the can online. There ARE Six Degrees fans out here.

Sigh. I just checked ABC's website and it's tough finding Six Degrees anywhere on there. They've removed it from the "shows" link but if you want to watch some old episodes they are still up (accessed by clicking on any other show offering repeats on the website). I'm still hoping they'll let us watch the rest of the episodes online, but for now it seems the execs have disappeared this little gem.

I was scrolling through the onscreen guide to see what else was on tonight. I get to all the networks, and I see that Wife Swap had the little red dot that indicates that it is scheduled to be recorded. I asked my wife if she was recording it, and she looked at me as if I had insulted her. Then I realized what was supposed to have been recording - Six Degrees.

This blog has been the only place to read anything about this great show, so I came here to see the news, and saw what I had feared.

How could a repeat (from 2006!?!) of a dumb reality show do any better in the ratings than a new episode of a quality drama? Not knowing the legalities of the TV industry, I'm guessing that ABC doesn't have to pay for episodes that it doesn't air - which would be the only reason why they wouldn't air this show.

What a total load of B.S. This year has been totally discouraging. I was hoping that the Invasion debacle was a one-time thing, but now it seems to be the norm. Why should I bother investing my time in a show that's just going to be canned after a few months (or weeks)? It seems the only shows I like are the ones that get canned (hello, Knights of Prosperity?!?), so maybe I just shouldn't bother watching any of them.

ABC has gone way overboard with yanking these serialized shows before any kind of resolution or finality in the story arc is achieved - it's toying with the viewers and it's disrespectful. Lost's ratings are way down this season, are they going to move that to Fridays for two weeks and then can it totally, too? What a joke.

Who is running programming at ABC anyway?

ABC NETWORK IS INSANE! THEY FINALLY HAVE A NICE, MEATY, COMPLEX DRAMA WITH SIX DEGREES AND THEY ARE PULLING IT? HUH? WHAT??

I WAITED AND WAITED FOR THIS SHOW TO COME BACK ON THE AIR AND WHEN IT RETURNED, I WAS GLUED TO THE TV WACHING EVERY MINUTE OF IT!

I AM A HARD WORKING EXECUTIVE WHO LOOKS FORWARD TO JUST A COUPLE OF TELEVISION SHOWS AND THIS IS ONE OF THEM. I TUNED IN TONIGHT TO WATCH THE NEXT EPISODE (PURPOSELY WORKING MY PLANS AROUND IT SO THAT I COULD WATCH) AND IT'S NOT ON?!!! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!

*PLEASE PUT THIS SHOW BACK ON!* GIVE IT SOME OTHER NIGHTS TO TRY-ON FOR SIZE AND SEE WHAT FITS! (AS IS DONE WITH GRAY'S ANATOMY AND AS THE WB USED TO DO WITH MANY OF THEIR SHOWS, PROVING THIS TACT WAS SUCCESSFUL IN GARNERING AN AUDIENCE). IN ORDER TO GARNER A REPEAT AUDIENCE, YOU HAVE TO GIVE IT SOME TIME!!!

CONTRARY TO WHAT THIS NETWORK MAY BELIEVE, NOT EVERYONE WHO WATCHES TELEVISION ON FRIDAY NIGHTS IS LOOKING FOR TRASH LIKE 'SMACK DOWN' OR 'WIFE SWAP'. AND THOSE WHO SEEK A 'NIGHT TIME SOAP' WILL GO TO THE 'MY NETWORK CHANNEL 9' (IN THE NY AREA).

PLEASE, GIVE DISCERNING VIEWERS AND *THE WONDERFUL TALENTED ACTORS* OF SIX DEGREES A FAIR CHANCE TO MAKE THIS SERIES WORK!

WHOMEVER OF THE 'POWERS THAT BE' AT THE ABC NETWORK REALLY DROPPED THE BALL HERE.

THE NETWORK SHOULD HIRE ME ... I COULD DO A BETTER JOB FOR THEM.
