Scofield v. Burrows
forgive me - new to Prison Break (currently on Season 2, episode 9) and just realized that Michael and Lincoln have different last names. Why?

So, this confuses me, but I believe it a flashback to their childhood at their mother's funeral we learned that they have different fathers. Or maybe it was just the guy left before Michael was born and Michael uses their mother's last name, but I believe the first answer is correct. Cut to where about you are in season 2, I believe that the man they are referring to as their father is just Lincoln's but for some reason was part of Michael's childhood, or maybe, he was just Michael's, I forget what his last name was supposed to be but I believe he was Burrows. I also lean toward the different father theory because they appear to be letting Wentworth Miller grow his hair in season three where he would have no ability to cut it and while he doesn't look terribly different, it starts to because obvious with him that he is part African-American.

The reason they have diff. last naems is because Scofield didn't exactly meet his father cuz he left so he took his mom's maiden name and Burrows has his fathers last name. So thats why they have diff. last names.. It's so confusing!  ">
