« Prison Break

February 26, 2007: Wash

Well, here we go again: Before we begin, we should take a moment of silence for C-Note. It’s only fair, because since I started writing this blog in October, we’ve had moments of silence for the other 100 people who’ve died on Prison Break. But since then, this was the saddest one to see. While I do admit I used to complain about his recent story lines, it was just because they were irrelevant to the rest of the show. C-Note was an interesting character, and I certainly felt sorry for his crappy situation of being on the run with a sick daughter and a wife in jail. For a slight second I thought maybe next week we’d see him still alive, since we didn’t see him actually die. But I think the writers knew his time was up. So R.I.P., C-Note, and here’s hoping we see the actor who played him, Rockmund Dunbar somewhere else soon.

Oh, and one more thing about C-Note: How does Mahone sleep at night? How can he live with himself when he kills his subjects, convinces them to jump to their death, and pretty much forces them to hang themselves in prison? Sending C-Note the “package” with rope was pretty messed up. Couldn’t he have at least sent him a bottle of pills and a bottle of vodka?

So, after being in suspense since about 9:01 last Monday about what was on that freakin memory stick, we still didn’t get to hear a single word on it. At least we know that Michael, Lincoln and Sara were able to hear it, and that it has Steadman’s voice on it. I’m so glad Lincoln sent the fake Cooper Green on a wild goose chase through the park and made him throw out his $2,000 jacket. And I love how Michael knew to test him on his so-called asthma.

But of course, when the boys finally met the real Green, it was quite disappointing to hear that the tape was inadmissible evidence because there was no time stamp. Michael’s a genius so we figured he’d have yet another idea, to use the tape to blackmail the president for a pardon. Sure, it could work, but the boys have no idea Kellerman is minutes away from assassinating his dear Caroline.

Looking back at last week’s episode and the many comments you left about how sorry you felt for T-Bag, I’m curious to see how you feel now. Because I totally fell for his emotional breakdown and the whole wanting to “be baptized under a truer light.” But that all went down the toilet tonight, so just wanted to check whether I was the only one who felt betrayed. As soon as T-Bag told Dr. Stammel he couldn’t deny the “commonality in our visages” I knew the doctor was a dead man and was about to have his identity stolen on top of it. Wow, how many murders is that now for T-Bag and his one hand? And how come no one at the airport noticed his bag spilling over with cash?

A few other noteworthy moments:

— Bellick busting into Mahone’s office and threatening to “drop trou” if he didn’t get his reward money.
— Kellerman having a tender moment with his sister as he confessed that he’s “changed in a really bad way,” right after his “just 'cause someone spits you out of their crotch doesn’t make them your mother” line.
— Seeing Manche at good ole Fox River was cool, yet finding out he might tattle on his cousin was quite upsetting.
— The return of LJ… not that I’ve missed him all these months. And I definitely didn’t like that he broke Lincoln’s heart by telling him he wanted to stay in one place and have “something normal.” Selfish kid.
— Bellick sitting in the middle seat in coach and getting attitude from the flight attendant, while T-Bag got to flirt with her for a refill of champagne in first class. That’s obviously leading to a face-off between the two once they land in Mexico.
— Speaking of Mexico, it was so sweet seeing the lovey-dovey Sucre and Maricruz in bed and feeling the baby kick and Sucre foreseeing his son’s future as captain of the national soccer team. For a quick second I was picturing a certain Billy Madison “He’s going to be a soccer player” line. Sucre’s repetitive “everything is going to work out, everything is going to be perfect” was worrying me, though. I wonder if he’ll be the subject of our next “moment of silence.”

Mahone doesn't sleep...thats his problem. Anyway I do feel sorry for C-note, the scenes with his wife was very touching. Im also wondering what is on that stick. At first I thought it was blank, by the reaction on Link's face....I should of known better. I hope it dawns on them to make a copy of whatever is on that stick just in case someone deletes it. And I knew that wasnt the real Cooper Green. I knew it by the way that secretary was acting when Micheal called. I love it when Im right.

Loved the scenes with Sucre and Maricruz. Those 2 are so cute together. You just know that sleezeball Hector is just around the corner.

I should of known that T-Bag was going to kill that doctor. I really thought that T-Bag wanted to get some help. How could that doctor not realize that T-Bag was going to kill him? He should of realized it soon as T-Bag picked up that statue. I was also wondering how come nobody saw all of that money. I can not waite when Bellick realizes that T-Bag is on the same plane as him. The next couple of episodes are going to be good.

And how many people T-Bag has killed? 6. It was the Vet, the father that picked T-Bag up, the guys hand that T-Bag stoled, the postal woman, the other prison guard(forgot his name), and now the shrink. I wonder how many more he is going to kill before the season is over with.

Don't feel too bad for C-Note yet. I predict someone's coming to his rescue next week and I'm betting its Mahone. (Lee was wrong about them catching the brothers and no longer needing C-Note) And the ever important point...we didn't see him die; just start the jump.

I didn't feel betrayed by T-Bag. I didn't really think he'd repented and was gonna go on the straight and narrow. Part of the fun of watching T-Bag is that he's not that simple a guy. My first thought, when he mentioned how much he looked like the doctor was that this guy was related to him and his new mission was cleansing his bloodline. :) But he was just looking for a way out of dodge.

The first thing I would have done with the recording is made as many copies of it as I could and mail it to several people for safeskeeping. Or, I would email it to as many people as I could. Something like that. I hope they made a copy somewhere along the line.

I won't mourn C-Note until I see for sure he's dead. Although it didn't look promising. The scene with his wife was gripping.

Can someone please tell Sucre that when you make reference to how happy you are and how things from now on will be problem free that in soap operas and horror movies you always die in the next scene or the love of your life dies! Poor Sucre it's going to be a hard lesson to learn! Keeping in mind of course I'm based this on the formulas from soap and horror movies and not spoilers.

No, C-Note, No!

Okay, I'll have to actually see that he's dead before I believe it, but I really liked that guy and hoped he'd get justice, since he was effectively wrongly 'convicted' in the military.

So I'm assuming the Fake Green had the wrong asthma medicine and that's why Michael clocked him? I was waiting for Michael to explain why he didn't trust the guy. I've seen the actor elsewhere and couldn't remember if he had been on PB before and I should know who he was, or if it's just because he shows up on TV often.

Loved his 'wet pant walk'.

I thought LJ's reaction was realistic. This kid has seen his mother shot and been chased by the Secret Service, while he waits for his father to be executed. I totally buy him wanting normalcy for a while.

Nice to note there was no actual 'Jane' - could it be because she's off filming 'Drive'?

And I have to give a shout out to the guy who plays Kim - I just LOVE to hate that guy. He may not be Logan (24) but he does a great job!!

I'll be disappointed if C-Note is really dead. Mahone is truly despicable killing all of these people even though he clearly realizes how evil Kim & his corrupt agency is.

I do not and have not felt sorry for T-Bag. He is thoroughly repulsive. I don't understand how anyone would trust him. Also, haven't their faces been plastered all over the news? It seems that T-Bag would be one of the easiest to recognize because he looks so creepy, yet it's always the others that someone recognizes. I knew that something bad was going to happen when all they showed us was the back of that doctor's head for the first several minutes of their conversation.

I hope that Sucre does not get caught, and I would like to see him and Maricruz meet up with Lincoln, Michael, and Sara. Plus, I want them to get that money back from T-Bag.

I'm just hoping that the show is coming back for another season. Prison Break has been one of the most entertaining and exciting shows over the last 2 years.

How is LJ selfish? After all he's been thorugh, because of his father's actions and the people trying to set him up, just cause he wants normalcy he's selfish?

He's a 16yr old kid, who if you remember, up until his father was going to be put to death had a tense relationship since his parents split up.

How is he selfish? Come on already.

I don't know about y'all, but was I the only one saying, "Wait a minute, it's over? Son of a ..." I was totally upset that the hour went by so fast!

It's funny how Kim thinks that he can actually beat Michael and Linc... That man really isn't all that smart!

L.J. ... I am not going to get down on him for hurting his dad... I mean, before he went with Jane wasn't Linc having a heart to heart with him (before the accident) telling him that life on the run isn't for him and such? I mean, when Linc and Michael are cleared (and I say are, cause I don't want to believe anything different) then I can see L.J. settling down with his dad and going to school and living a "normal" life... But for time being, he is safe, in school and getting his stuff together... Linc should be happy that he has one less thing to worry about!

I love that Michael is smart and can catch just about any lie sent his way... I was also happy that Sara got ahold of Linc to fill him in, but Michael is a real smart cookie and can figure some of the stuff for himself... I agree with one of the other posters saying that they would have loved to see Michael explain why he knew the guy was fake...

Sucre, y'all said it... Murphy's Law gonna kick him in his rear... Let's just hope his cousin isn't a bird... But I see his big butt singing! Kinda sad cause when the scene opened with him and Bellick he was talking about how he is connected this way and that way... But I do see him singing to live in that country club of a prison... (Tell me something, are there really prisons like that? And if so, maybe that is the reason why we have so many convicts, cause hell, I don't even have that stuff! Flat screen huge tv, pool tables... Goodness!)

T-bag... The scumbag is back! I knew he was gonna find his way to Bangkok(sp) and as soon as the doctor said, yeah I see that we look similar (or however he put it) I was like, nah, you looked like him and now your a dead man! When I saw him in first class and Bellick in coach, I was like, oh yeah, that is going to be fun! I wonder something... If Bellick gets ahold of T-bag and the money, do you think he will just stay in Mexico and the heck with Mahone and his bidding??

Mahone, you could tell that it killed him to have to send C-note that package... And when he told Kim that Linc's innocent and hung up, did anyone else get the impression that he is this close to swapping sides? I so saw it written all over his face!

A moment of silence for C-note? Nah... I'll wait till next week to see if he is really dead... Because with Mahone not being able to find Michael, he still kinda needs him... But ya know, it would be nice for smug Kim to be slapped with the realization that "because your an idiot and want everyone dead, you just lost your lead on Linc and Michael!" My opinion of course!

Anyhow... Till next week... And I think they said only 4 more shows of the season...:_| I want to cry!

I hope C-Note is not dead. I really like Rockmund and when he was on "Waynes Brothers" as a one time character. I have a feeling he is not dead. Let's just cross our fingers and hope not.

The best part of the show was when Bellick and TBag was on the same flight. The flight attendant was very nice with the charming TBAG LOL....

I am glad Michael knew that was a fake Mr. Green. LOL...pretty good how he sucker punched him.

Regarding LJ, I dont think he was selfish, I think he wants something normal.

Good eppy.

Everyone's talking about how many people T-Bag has killed. Let's not forget about how many people Kellerman has killed. He killed--what?--two in this episode alone? ... And Mahone, he's a whole other subject! :)

And how did T-Bag and Bellick get on the same plane without seeing each other? Even if they missed each other waiting to board the plane, it's common practice to let First Class board first, then Coach. Bellick would've had to walk right by him. Surely, the whole I'm-wearing-an-eye-mask-so-I-can-sleep wouldn't fool "junkyard dog" Bellick!?!

Jbird... I think maybe since Bellick has his mind on Sucre, that he just wasn't paying any mind... Or maybe Bellick had his head in his you know what! HA! But let's see what happens...

Also, I forgot to mention Kellerman and his whole "hunting" scenerio... When he said he "is hunting bigger game", I told my hubby that he was gonna go after the President... Serves her right to die, BUT, not yet cause Michael needs her... And I know that Kellerman is a really good shot, so I am just hoping he sneezes or something and misses!

JustMe, I felt the same way about Mahone. Nobody does morally conflicted like William Fichtner (see 'Invasion'). Do you think this is the first time he's really understood Linc might be innocent? That crossed my mind.

afleetalex...

You know, with Oscar Shales (sp) the guy was guilty and did these horrible crimes that is why Mahone was so hyped to get him, and that he did...
To me, it seems that he thought Linc was guilty and the ends justified the means... But after that conversation, it just seemed like he was second guessing it going, ok this guy is innocent and I am tracking him down like a dog and killing all of these people for what? Mind you, I know he is doing it for the safety of Cameron and Pam, but you'd think that he can get his family to safety just fine if he tried...
And him on invasion was great... He was a creepy leader on that show, if ya ask me...
But yeah, I saw the proverbial(sp) lightbulb go on above his head!

C-Note's final scene with his wife was the most touching I have ever seen on this show. Now, that was good acting. I don't know about all of his other scenes, but this one was phenomenal. Awesome TV!
