NCIS Interesting enough?

Is NCIS losing it's charm? Do they need another tragic event to get us wild again? I think so. I think that the first two seasons had something that was lost in the third. Was it Kate? I think what it lost with Kate could never be replaced by Ziva, but she brought things we couldn't get with Caitlin. So what (if anything) was forgotten when the third season came? Can they bring more with the rest of the fourth?

It is great. The storylines are always good. And the repartee between Tony, Ziva and McGee is the best. Just looking at Mark Harmon is enough - he doesn't have to say anything. And then there's Ducky and Abby who are wonderful, too. Bellisario knows how to make a great show.

Is "NCIS" losing it's charm? Not on your life.

In my opinion, Season 4, episode to episode has been the best yet. Not one episode yet has failed to grab my interest.

Do they need another tragic event to get us wild again? Not necessairly since I'm still wild about it BUT...
I have a feeling that the end of this season is going to be a whopper. And yes, I'm excited to see how the "season of secrets" plays out.

I think that Season 4 has been the best of all. The development of DiNozzo's abilities as an agent have been superb, and the love interest for Gibbs has been magic to watch, as that of Palmer and Agent Li has been funny.. That the writers can still produce such storylines is brilliant. I have now watched all of season 4 and can't wait for season 5. Even my son and his friends are getting hooked. The cast Chemistry is what keeps this show
so watchable. If you have doubts, then you cannot be a true fan.

I also loved this season of NCIS and am really anxious to see how Tony, his girlfriend and her dad "the Frog" end up.

My question is this:

Did Tony know that The Frog was Jeanne's dad all along and that is why he started dating her?

Hey good question Ranger99. The thought never crossed my mind.
I thought maybe she was going to be some psycho obsessed with Tony type. Not sure where they are going with the story line, But I love the show. I miss Kate. I am still trying to warm up to Ziva. I love Tony, such a smarta**..so funny. Mark Harmon, great actor.

You bet! I have enjoyed NCIS since the 2hr pilot on JAG. Sorry when Kate was killed. But Riva is becoming a great agent. I love all the characters and actors (even though I am pushing 70 yrs) I never miss an episode ( I tape every week) even the reruns. I hope Mark Harmon never leaves the show, he is great. So keep up the good work, people. NCIS is great entertainment.

For sure! It is one of my favorite shows, humor along with crime investigation!
Ziva and Kate were so different, love both of the characters!

they say that someone is gonna be booted off the show, and i'm willing to bet it's gonna be the directer. and if its not, it's probably gonna be gibbs. any speculation?

Ziva has her own unique character...the last episode seemed to have been written by someone that had no idea of her personality...I am SO afraid they are setting up Ziva to either get killed or leave because she 'can't take it'...NOT the Ziva we've grown to love...PLEASE writers, network or whoever DO ger this much loved character back on track.

I agree that Ziva was out of character. I think the producers/writers have tried to write episodes that make us think THIS is the one who will be murdered. So far they set up Jenny and Ducky with the xrays, Ziva with almost being killed, Jimmy with almost being killed.....all just to titilate us, is my guess.

ranger: "Did Tony know that The Frog was Jeanne's dad all along and that is why he started dating her?"

I don't think Tony knew--but Jenny probably did, which is why she assigned him to the case. I think. I also think, in the middle of last season, they changed it to where Tony was assigned to romance Jeanne. I honestly believed he'd found someone he fell in love with and TPTB changed it so that he was undercover. {shrug}

And no, NCIS is not losing its charm--if I get irked, Mark Harmon reels me back in. He's why I watch the show--Gibbs NEVER disappoints.

kelkrone:"Ziva has her own unique character...the last episode seemed to have been written by someone that had no idea of her personality."

Well first, I can't STAND Ziva. I just don't like her. And that episode was sooo lame. It was so obvious the writers were setting up that guy in the bar to be the killer. All I was waiting for was to see the bread crumbs.

Hi Darcey!!!

Darcey: "I agree that Ziva was out of character. I think the producers/writers have tried to write episodes that make us think THIS is the one who will be murdered."

That episode was SUCH a cheat! The previews made it look like Ziva was going to be the one leaving--when in fact she hadn't even been hurt--just panting after having to kill a serial murderer. And her behavior afterward? Made no bloody sense. This is an agent who killed her own brother and wasn't affected by it to the degree that killing the murderer did. Were we to believe that this was the FIRST time Ziva had killed? PUH-LEAZE.

And I SO don't want a romance atween her and Tony, who I LOVE. It pi**ed me off last season, the way she kept getting into his business, got jealous early a few episodes ago over the Baltimore detective. UGH. And then when Tony's trying to get her to talk, she turns cold on him. Whatever.

My preference is for Jenny to leave--they don't have to kill her. Just Make.Her.Go.Away.

I'd rather have Alan Dale back as the Director or someone like him. Certainly NOT Leon, who's too cocky, by half. Besides, I like the original role of the Director--seen only VERY occasionally and not every bleedin' episode.

And could Jimmy BE any more STUPID this week? One: He is NOT an agent. He is the assistant M.E., right? I HATE when characters try to do something they're not trained/equipped for. And what was with that screaming as he hit the assasin? Gibbs should've slapped his head.

I agree it was terrible when Kate died, and at first I was not too crazy about Ziva but now I love here character she is so funny with her english attempts. Tony Ziva and Mcgee are doing a great job, I hate that they had to kill Kate but she may have had something else to do, who knows. Jenny did get involved alot more that the old director but Ithink that is because it was keepingher involved with Gibbs. All the storylines are really good and you never really know how it is going to end up. It is a great show. I don't think it lost it's charm just changed it's charm. Gibbs so nice to look at too..Don't kill ziva off just yet she just become your favorite character before it is over with.
