Help- Question about NCIS

Hi, I've been watching NCIS in repeats I didn't watch last season so I would have something to watch in this dreadful TV summer). Anyway, CBS has been running them out of order, and I have a big question: I saw the finale, where Tony gets in the car with Jean's father, who is the big French terrorist guy. Did Tony get involved with Jean as part of the operation, or was he shocked when he got into the limo with Terrorist Dad? How did he meet Jean anyway?

I guess that's 2 questions, but I could really use the info. So if you could clear it up for me I'd greatly appreciate it!!!!

Hi there. Season 4 started with Tony working undercover on the La Grenouille case (the terrorist). The relationship with Jeanne basically started early in the season. It wasn't revealed that the the case and Jeanne were linked until the last 5 seconds of the season finale. I don't remember ever hearing about how they met or got involved. I don't think Tony was shocked when he met Jeanne's father. I think he knew exactly who Jeanne's father was which is why he originally got involved with her in the first place. Of course, with how much they love each other - this next season should be really interesting to watch to see what happens with Tony and Jeanne.

From me personally, I did notice that Tony never mentioned WHERE he worked when he was with Jeanne or what he did so that made me suspicious about the relationship. That and I've watched the show since the beginning and for so much time to be spent on their relationship was enough to wonder what else was going on.

Hope that helps!

Yes, as far as I'm aware, the previous poster is correct, and it has never been stated, one way or another, if Tony started his relationship w/ Jeanne as part of his undercover work, or even how Tony & Jeanne met in the first place. I'm of the impression that he DID do it as part of the case, but as the old cliche goes, he fell in love w/ her in the process. (My personal opinion is that they should get rid of Jeanne and in fact get rid of the Director, who annoys me no end. Unfortunately I don't think I'm going to get my wish, as this big storyline is being continued into this new season.)

I have watched the show since the beginning but found myself asking this same question.

I just watched a repeat episode last week where Tony was offered a team of his own by the director (this was after the return of Gibbs) and he turned it down because of his undercover work. The director then asked Tony if he was becoming too involved and of course he denied it. I have now understood that the only undercover work he was doing was going out with the "Frog's" daughter. So I now believe that he knew all along about Jeanne being the Frog's daughter, but I am sure that he did not plan on falling in love with her which he obviously did.

I am really looking forward to the start of next season!

Hey, thanks, you guys. That does help a lot. You know, I noticed he never says anything to Jean about what he does for a living. I wonder if she knows? He has to tell her something. And didn't he whip out his gun in that episode where there were 2 drug dealers in the hospital trying to cut open the body of their drug-carrying buddy?

I have noticed, too, that anybody he has told about Jean so far (that I know of)has died! The undercover guy he was working with (who happened to be Jean's old flame) got shot, and the other NCIS woman he told got blown up by terrorists.

I like Jean. I can't stand the director, though, I've been wanting her gone ever since she arrived. She's annoying and not a very good actress, IMHO.

OK-Tony has NO clue her Dad is a terroist/bad guy. They have not said/showed if the girl, Tonys girlfriend has anything to do with it or not. We don't know if their meeting was random or not, even if she knows her Dad is bad. It was a very cool season finale! Hope this helps.

Sorry but we disagree about this! Tony has known from the start and that is why he originally started dating Jeanne.

Hi, I don't think Tony knows about Jeanne's father. Remember the episode when he talked of his relationship with Jeanne with the director, in her office. This scene would make no sense if the relationship was "planned".

Jena - I agree with you; let's get rid of Jeanne (I don't mind the director as much !) and let's get rid of LT colonel Mann; she is soooo boring and her relationship with Gibbs is even more boring !

I can't wait for the new season to begin !!!!

Hi Help me out here. Who is taking those pictures of Tony and Jean when they are together?

2 things: 1)I think the person that's taking the photos of Tony & Jeanne is Jeanne's dad. Whether or not Tony knows Jeanne's dad is a terrorist (I'm beginning to think he does, and that's why he started dating her in the first place), Terrorist Dad definitely knows who Tony is, at least that's my impression.

2: On last week's ep, when they were going to move in together (did that ever happen, by the way?), Jeanne mentioned an apartment that was close to both the University and the Hospital, leading me to believe that Tony has told her he's a professor or something.

It turns out the whole thing was an undercover operation. He got involved with Jean on Jenny's orders, but then fell in love with her. I don't really remember how he met Jean, but it was definitely a setup. She thinks he is Tony DeNardo, a film professor at the American University.
