the end of NCIS as we know it...

I have grown to love NCIS second only to Bones, and that includes the characters on the show, not just M Harmon. Now the team is being split up? I think it stinks. When Kate was killed off, I stopped watching for a long while and slowly Zeva won me over. Now she's gone. Denozo is shipped out as well as Probie. It seems to me that whenever we're at a loss we scramble the characters (are they blamed for sagging ratings?) Could it possibly be the writers who should be scrambled?

Well we don't know for sure if they are leaving just because the new director says so. Maybe it's just something to keep us guessing until the new season.

I know OMG, I am really hoping that this is just a ploy and that the team will all be back together next season. Otherwise what is the point? It would just be Gibbs, Abby and Ducky left. Definitely not the same old NCIS.

Omigosh! This finale was amazing! It was an open secret that someone was going to die. The final few minutes were a complete shock. NCIS has never been shy about making changes. It will be even better next year. They kept Gibbs, Abby and Ducky, the three characters that are so unique, they cannot be replaced.

The end of NCIS was a complete Jump the Shark moment. You can't just replace 4 people all in one episode. I really hope that they come back.

I think the writers need to be sent on strike permanently. Two of my favorite shows have been ruined, BONES and now NCIS. Looks like I might be reading a lot more next year.

well, that was an all out ending that leads me to believe my opinion of the new director was right from the start..."ill show you, if i cant play in your reindeer games, then im taking the ball home..no one plays.."

The last scene was a complete surprise. I have no idea what the producers plan to do now, but to send Ziva back to Israel and McGee and DiNozzo to other posts? I didn't see that one coming.

Abby is going to have a fit! Why punish them if the one who screwed up was Jenny, first back in Paris, and then in L.A.? Poor Gibbs. He didn't deserve that at all. If those actors are really fired, I highly doubt I'll watch in the Fall. I truly hope it was a fake out.

That said, a very well executed finale.

I must say that first we lose Jenny and now we might be losing Tony, Ziva, and Mcgee??!?!?!?! I will watch the first few episodes next season but if they really do split the team apart I probably won't be watching.

If they aren't careful this might not only be the end of NCIS as we know it. It might be the end of NCIS.

although i am shocked about the end i think that they all will come back together somehow especially after what brennan said.. and i mean all of them not only one or two. TONY, ziva and mcgee!

i am not so sure that vance has some dirty stuff to hide. i think that he wanted to punish gibbs for making him breaking the protocoll so badly ( he seems very politically correct) and that he saw no chance to gain respect as the director against a team who are all so extremely loyal to gibbs.

by the way can you imagine tony on a ship without woman, pizza or movies ? i don't think so!
on the other hand tony is a 'cop' with passion and investigating mostly cases of broken noses or fights on a ship won't satisfy him and it is clealy a waste of his talent. i can imagine him thinking about quitting and going back to the police until gibbs comes to bring him back:)

I share the same feelings as many of you. If they permanently take Tony, McGeek, and Ziva out of the show, that would ruin it. They are too integral to remove from the show. Vance said, "If you think you can protect them forever, Jethro, you are mistaken. There's already been one casualty. There will be more." I'm thinking he sent them away to protect them. If Ziva's back in Israel with the Massoud, no one can touch her. With Tony on a ship, he'd be hard to track down and get to. Regarding Tony being on a ship without women, they have women on combat ships nowadays. If McGeek goes to cybercrimes, that's kinda low profile, so he's kinda hidden. I think there's something going on and I'd like to know the plot.

This is rediculous. How can you move the whole team? They made the show what it is. And if you think of having a show on each character at a time, that is crazy...the chemistry is what made the show what it is today. I am very distraught.

I don't believe for one minute that the team will be broken up long term. This was just an end of season twist merely for shock value. The first few episodes next season will move to getting the team back together. I predict the team will be back together, with a new director, by episode 3.

did everyone see that the new director ripped a page out of his own file and destroyed it? he totally has something to hide. I hope that next season the team will somehow be able to work together to find out what this guy is hiding so they can get back together. there is no way that they are going to break up the team for good.

First:
I so called it that Jenny was going to be the one who died. Glad to see we didn't have to see her while it happened.

Second: I don't believe for a minute that this split is permanent, and I agree, that new Director so has something to hide! And he was very well prepared in a matter of days, don't you think? New team members already set up, new reassignments? Looks like he's been planning this--maybe since Shepard took that leave of absence a few weeks ago?

I don't like Vance. Detest him. Hate him. He's such a politician. And irked that he was kept out of the loop.

Did you see the look on Gibbs' face at the end? It was like...'we'll see'

And like Gibbs, I'm going to wait and see...this finale sure didn't have the jaw-dropping shock that seasons 2 and 3 did (Kate getting killed, Gibbs quitting), but it was a good one.
