I find Monk on one of my local stations after having been out of my reach on cable for some time. The episode featured Andy Richter as a deadly teddy bear -- a nice chance for Andy to play against character a bit. Monk's crush on Andy was too much fluttering about, heart going pit-a-pat and so on. But the hockey game was a hoot, notably Monk understanding that real hockey fans don't obsess over smudges of vital bodily fluids left where players get smashed into the glass but finally having to ask a player to clean off the smudge. And in the end, I believe Andy was sussed out by Monk's detective colleagues as much as by Monk.
