Men in Trees Not Back until May

Boo! It looks like ABC brass planned to have the show return April 12 but changed their minds. Check out the news here.

I am irate and insulted. How can ABC treat its property and clientele so shabbily? It seems like they are challenging MIT to succeed despite poor promotion and the fans are disregarded completely. I accepted that they tried a new soap drama, Oct. Rd. which is wretched, even worse than "What About Brian", but to replace SCHEDULED MIT with this stupid comedy is beyond.

I like October Road a good deal, so I wouldn't mind if Men in Trees were being benched so it could air the final two episodes of its current season arc. (ABC seems to have a thing for cutting seasons short.) But to remove it on behalf of Notes From the Underbelly is just rediclious. Like all the rest of ABC's sitcoms, this looks like poorly concieved, badly written, badly acted trash and it will not find an audience, post-Grey's or anywhere else. I appriciate the vote of convidence they showed Men in Trees by renewing it in the face of ratings that could be better. They seem to see that it has the potential to grow, but the thing about that is they need to give it consistant airtime to do so. Even in May, it will only get a few airings, if that, because Grey's has a pair of two-hour episodes lined up for sweeps (both Addison's pilot and the Grey's finale proper.) As such, it will be the 10:00 show to get the boot. Sometimes I wish MiT were still airing on Fridays, because at least it would be more stable there. You would think they could find room for it instead of running Grey's a second time per week, especially now that they've gone back into late Season 2 repeats for the Friday Grey's slot.

Shame, ABC.

Can any of the fans of "Men in Trees" give me a heads up ..I've missed this show...it looks like altogether. I thought the "teasers" were interesting and I really intended to watch. And I do like the title...so many men that they grow on trees?? I've got my basket all set. All kidding aside, give me some background please. Thanks.

ABC is treating Men in Trees like the old show, Commander in Chief. ABC ruined Commander in Chief, right after it was winning awards it was canned. Now, with Anne Heche's real life love affair with "Jack" making entertainment news, this would be the perfect time to be airing MIT from a marketing stand point. But NO, ABC is screwing up - Again! Absence does not always make the heart grow fonder. I still haven't forgiven ABC for the long hiatus with Lost. I thought they learned their lesson? Its time to put Men in Trees back on TV - to stay!

I agree - ABC is making a huge mistake - they are missing a opportunity to grab alot of new viewers - it so NOT FAIR! I will still watch it in May - but i wouldnt be surprised if there are lots of people who have said forget it!

They really need to bring back Men In Trees. Best show on TV and it's really nice to not have to watch non stop reality shows. MIT is clever and the characters are just that...characters. Bring it back!
