Medium 'Dissed' Again

Just read the latest TV Guide and on the section "Missing In Action" for the new tv season, there was no mention of Medium. They had Lost, 24, and even Jericho on the page along with American Idol, explaining what everyone already knew about these shows, so why not a mention of Medium? I'm getting tired of TV Guide's lack of respect for this spectacular show.

randumb, I'm with you! Of course, the fault isn't entirely that of TV Guide - NBC should take a lot of the blame for ignoring this terrific show and it's talented cast.

Actually, I'm beginning to believe that only those shows who PAY TO BE IN TV GUIDE get all the mentions they want. I'm sick to death of hearing about Heroes, The Office, 30 Rock, etc. Not only are these shows mentioned with huge articles over and over, they also feature huge biography pages of each and every cast member.

Even during the pre-show for the Emmys, TV Guide channel interviewed each Heroes' cast member, the Entourage cast members, The Office cast members, but never even spoke to Patricia Arquete who was nominated for Best Actress, nor did they even bother to point her out in the crowd on the red carpet, yet Lisa Rinna spent a great deal of time with Melora Hardin who wasn't nominated for anything and I'm not even sure she is on a show currently, yet Patricia was ignored.

I thought the purpose of the TV Guide and their channel was to celebrate everything on TV and about TV and not just those that pay them big bucks. I'm not sure I will bother to renew my subscription when it comes due - maybe if we all did that, they'd get the message.

I absolutely love this show and everyone in it. I especially like Maria Lark as Bridget. She just seems to be so real. I loved the episode when she got the stray dog and Joe took it to the vet. The vet told Joe the dog was dying and he worried about how to tell Bridget. Of course, she already knew. She was worried about how her dad would take it. She is just so natural. She was a hoot on Jay Leno. It just seems that there are so few episodes in a season. Maybe because I look forward to it so much it just seems that way. I think I read or heard that it would start up in January. AARRGGGHHHH. Why not in September. I wish they had more episodes. Wasn't she great on "Deal or no Deal"?

I am also apalled at the lack of promotion for such a fine show as MEDIUM. I left a mesage on NBC's Viewer Comment line and asked them how they could put a show of such high caliber on the back burner. MEDIUM is one of the best, most intelligent and compassionte shows on all of the networks.

I love Patricia Arquette because her soul comes across on the screen, along with the rest of the cast. Joe, forget about it, he is the most appealing man on the tube.

Also, Patricia is not pencil thin, she's a beautiful woman with a woman's body and has a real down to earth sense of humor.

The support she gets from her family on Medium is inspirational.

But, maybe someone can clarify if Allison had any premos about the day Joe was taken hostage at his job

moshkeep, yes, Allison had a dream about Bruce coming to the house with half of his head blown off. She tried to warn Joe, but he wouldn't listen.

We all know how THAT day turned out.

In the issue with the headlines on front "They did what...?" was a reference to the latest episode and some guessing about what's going on next season.
That's the last one ever heard. I too think it's shame to lose a wonderful show for young and old. Shame to NBC.

Wht don't they take as exemple JERICHO ?
The fans of that show wanted more - and got more. Wh not we loyal viewers who have to watch reruns now on Lifetime ?

I hope Medium does come back. I think in Janjuary? But it seems like they only have a few episodes every year. If it starts in January then will go to some reruns in March then back to new until May then gone. Then I don't think they rerun all the episodes anyway. She has such a good sense of humor and the kids are a riot. I love Joe and even her boss. Seems like the stars in most other shows are about 30-40 pounds underweight and sleep around and Allison does not. Maybe because she is protraying a real person and she wants to do it right. Whatever. I love the show and can not wait to get it back. Hope I find out when it comes back since the network does not advertise it. Maybe they want it to fail.
