Make Me A Supermodel: Week 6

I'm going to post my blog entries from my Make Me A Supermodel Blog on this page so it is easier for fans to find. This is the blog from last week.

Make Me A Zookeeper?
Snakes? Sheep? Goats? Peacocks? I have never seen so many animals involved in a model-making show before. The animals were more interesting than the models this week, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.

The Elimination
So Stephanie gets the boot this week. At first I was surprised, for I expected Frankie to go, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized she didn't show enough personality for any viewers to want to keep her in the house. In all fairness to her, it could just be the producers that aren't showing the women as much, but at the same time, they can't be doing anything interesting if it isn't put on TV.

The Photo Shoot
Before anyone went to take any pictures, it was time for everyone's hair to get a touch up. For everyone else it meant a trim, but for Frankie, most of it had to go. As Holly said, "It looks like my haircut." I agree with her 100%, but it does look much better than it did before. What do you think of his new 'do?

So for the photo shoot, the models had to hold their breath under water while posing with a python named Lemon. The photographer was very specific about what he wanted for this shoot, like to sink slowly to the bottom, not to blow air out of their noses, and to keep their eyes open. Sounds easy, right?

Well, it was for Ronnie, Perry, Frankie, and Casey (once he got over his fear of snakes). Ben and Jacki just had difficulty keeping their faces together once they were underwater. Holly's pictures didn't come out well since she was sick, but anyone who has ever seen America's Next Top Model knows that being ill is never an excuse. Shannon had a hard time holding her breath for more than a few seconds, which Tyson said he would put her in the bottom for, if it was up to him. I don't think that is entirely fair, but these shows never are.

The Runway
The models had to walk the runway with very tall and very heavy headpieces, but that's not all! They had to use animals as props and keep them under control on the runway. At this point in the show, I couldn't help but think that the producers just did this challenge to get a laugh at the models' expense. How many times have you ever seen someone walk down a runway with a goat or a pig? This challenge stretched the credibility of the show a little too far for me.

I have to agree with the judges that Holly worked that peacock very well. It looked completely effortless on her part. Perry, on the other hand, struggled with his sheep. I knew as soon as he crouched down and started mugging for the judges that he was in trouble. Lesson #1, never break character on the runway, Perry! I was elated when Tyson called him out for his arrogant attitude. . .it's about time someone really told it to him straight. You can tell that he still isn't going to change, seeing as he was so "shocked" that someone would find him arrogant. The man continues to amaze me.

I also agree with the judges that Jacki was very underwhelming considering how easy her animal was. Really, how hard is it to walk a poodle? Everyone else had an uneventful trip down the runway, except for some flapping ducks.

The Drama
There were not many model issues this week, except for Holly and Jacki's little spat at the beginning. It wasn't even really an argument, but we did find out that Jacki can be a little "inhuman," according to Holly. However, I think that Jacki is simply keeping it real; some of the models do seem to be forgetting that this is a competition. The more people that leave, the better.

Was I the only one who was shocked when Ronnie said that Ben deserved to be in the bottom three? Ben's face said it all; he was not expecting something like that to come out of Ronnie's mouth. Am I sensing some trouble in paradise with the two BFF's here?

The Decision
Jacki, Perry, and Ben are up for the vote this week. Is it just me, or does it seem that Ben and Ronnie are incapable of both doing well in the same week. If one is in the bottom, the other one wins. . .strange.

This is a tough one to call. I think Ben just had a bad week, and he probably will make it to the end. I don't like Perry's personality, but he is a good model, so he should stay. That leaves Jacki, who I find extremely annoying most of the time. I just noticed in the water shoot that she doesn't photograph all that well, and we all know that her runway walk is very blah, so it will be interesting to see who will leave. Who do you think America vote out next week? Until next week!

I think Jacki is the best.
