misogyny gets its own island

gotta love the LOST. but is anyone else bothered by the volume of females dying on this show? and that their deaths seem to be treated differently than the males. the men manage to die with some degree of purpose or nobility, while the women are put down like dogs. seems like a trend to me. can't we have a woman (or even 2)
1. with leadership qualities that actually contributes something to the group besides conversation, babies or damsel in distress/hostage drama (sorry Sun and Claire)
2. NOT cast as a romantic interest (sorry Kate) and then robbed of any authority or intrigue (sorry Juliet)
3. that does't get stabbed TO DEATH. or shot TO DEATH. or "cabin fever" suicided TO DEATH.
ya just know Charlotte's the next one to go. whether they shoot/stab/drop a bus on her, im sure they'll manage to give her death the same impotent standard we've come to expect in any recently introduced female character.
i still love you LOST. You just make me make me pissy.
