Criminal Intent moving to USA

Well, you devoted Criminal Intent viewers and blog readers have probably already heard about this, but in case you haven't, here's the TV Guide news story on the show being renewed for another season — on the USA network.

Personally, I'm not so sure about the network change. On the one hand, I'm worried they won't be able to retain D'Onofrio with the planned budget cuts (regardless of what NBC says), and the show might not look quite as good.

On the other hand, CI may actually improve in the story department. Aiming the show at longtime fans rather than trying to attract first-timers could mean we'll see less of the sensationalized, ripped-from-the-Anna-Nicole-headlines garbage that's cropped up too frequently this season. And less money probably means fewer guest stars and more focus on the detectives, which would be just fine with me. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Remember, there’s a new Goren/Eames episode tonight at 10, and it looks like a good one.

Well as long as they keep Chris Noth as Logan I will watch. I can give or take Detective Goren!

I so hope you're right, Todd. It would be fantastic if they went back to the excellent character development and storytelling of the earlier episodes. I love the show anyway and didn't miss an episode all season. However, I also felt that NBC was trying to attract new viewers at the expense of alienating some of the viewers who have watched from the beginning. I am just happy Criminal Intent will be coming back next year.

Criminal Intent without the Goren/Eames team will just be ,well, Law and Order.
D'Onofrio just seals the deal as far as I am concerned. I am absolutely hooked on CI and I watch the shows over and over. He is such a good actor and Erbe is his foundation. Yes the storylines were better in the "old days" but every so often they surprise us like the did last night!( Endgame)
Say it isn't so Vinney, please stay!

Well I am one happy camper with CI being renewed. It doesn't matter to me if it is NBC or USA as long as Vincent D'Onofrio and Katherine Erbe are back together on this show. They are the ones that make so good. No offense to any of you Noth lovers, but could do without him completely and do hope that they get rid of him. He is the worst actor that I have had the misfortune to see, so don't watch his episodes at all. Vincent and Katherine are the true actors of this series and the ratings stayed up until Noth entered the picture. Sorry, don't mean to be negative but thats my feelings on the matter.
GOOD TO HAVE YOU BACK CI!!!!!

I think Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe make the show. I hope they are both coming back. I hear they are then I hear their not. Can someone at TV guide find out? I watch them all the time no matter what network their on, NBC, USA or Bravo. I like Chris Noth but not to replace Vincent.Thank you, hope to read something soon confirming their come back.:O
