Letter Writing Campaign
Here's an e-mail that I was sent that I thought I should pass along.
Thank you for the information on Richard Belzer's episodes being cut. I was very irritated over the situation, since I really miss seeing Sgt. Munch and want him back on the show ASAP. On ALL the episodes.
I'm starting a letter campaign, encouraging all Belzer (John Munch) fans to write in and voice their wish for him to be included in every episode.

I would write but I first need to know if Belzer is the one who requested the reduction in episodes or is this the actions of the producers?
If Belz wants more time off I'm sadden but willing to honor his wishes but if this is because the producers wants younger faces in the cast then I'm all for writing and e-mailing and whatever it takes to bring back Belz.

Belzer does not want the time off. He "loves working on the show". He told me he is as "mystified" as the fans as to why his role was cut in half.

Yeah. We were told by Baer and the network honchos that he requested for less episodes, but obviously that's not true.
The shippers forget he saved SVU from sinking since he brought the viewers from Homicide over to the show in the early years. Without him, you wouldn't have the E/O you currently ship. In other words, you owe him a lot.
The sad part is, some fans just want him back so he can get rid of Lake since most people don't like Lake. One person on a board I used to be registered on said he even had an ugly mug and that he shouldn't be on there to begin with because of his ugly face. Because Stabler and Benson are the lead characters, they justify that because of this reason, he belongs in the background and he should never be used as an lead actor in an episode. Let's show these "fans" and these network honchos we want more Munch, a lot more than thirty second comic relief scenes. Let's show Belzer that we are true fans of him and the show and we want more than him replacing Lake and more drama storylines centered around his character for whole episodes. EPISODES Baer!!! As in lots of episodes!!! Multitudes!!! Not just two or three. You owe the Munch fans episodes that we can call true Munch-centered ones.
Even that TV Guide Poll shows Richard Belzer as the fans' favorite supporting actor!!! If that's not enough to convince these "fans" or these honchos, then let's hope he wins the People's Choice Award!!! Take that idiots!!!
Write your letters people in support for the Belz. Show him he is not forgotten!!! I am nearly finished with mine and will send it as soon as my friend proofreads it for me (since there is so many errors you can catch on your own  ).

yes, thanks Traci! I LOVE Munch. Let's make extra sure they take our letters seriously by getting the address correct- it's CHELSEA PIERS, not Chelsey. I mean this in a not bitchy way.

I didn't understand why they hired Beach in the first place as it seemed like there already wasn't much for Ice and Richard to do, but now with Beach, there's even less for Munch. Ridiculous.

Include me as one of the many that want him back. He is definitely a mainstay in the program and it is missing something in every show when he is not there. I hope the people behind the show finally realize their mistake and bring him back.

Hi Fellow SVU Fans,
I just wanted to let you guys know I resigned from the blog last week. The bosses at TV Guide want me to take on fewer responsibilities so I had to let it go.
