February 28, 2007: Hypnotized by Hoochie Magoo
Somewhere in the television universe George Costanza is still yelping about how he always wanted to be an architect. Well, Art Vandelay, meet Oswald Montecristo. For me to equate anything with Seinfeld should be taken as a sign of the highest respect. And no, Mr. Montecristo, I am not just kissing your butt.
How amazing was that video? Just the fact that they used “Mr. Roboto” to seem cutting edge was evidence of how far off the mark they were, and the “Directed by Peter Jackson” at the end was the icing on the cake. How much you want to bet Louis added that part in? He strikes me as the only one of that bunch who would have seen Lord of the Rings.
Oh, Louis “I am their bitch! They are physically superior to me!” Plunk, what a sad, sad intern you are. If you hate dogs (hi, Dad!) that scene was your worst nightmare. If you love dogs, that scene was possibly the greatest thing since Best in Show. Of course, Louis received two conflicting pieces of advice: Rockefeller’s clone of a cousin said, “roll with it,” while Gary suggested he should pretend he was on Jackass. (“It was a TV show about a bunch of mentally ill men who tried to kill themselves each week — absolutely fantastic.”) Sadly, nothing worked, though he is still alive.
But of course, Oswald Montecristo couldn’t last (and hence, no more mauling scenes, sadly). He’s off to build “a building in Beirut for the king of Beirut and will be there for many years.” So we won’t get anymore of what Ray Romano described as the “gay milkman” outfit. It is nice to know, though, that should I ever want to become an architect, I already have the basics down on the different kinds of Greek columns, even if Jon Stewart doesn’t.
Squatch hit the nail on the head, as usual, when he pointed out that Eugene didn’t love Kelly... he loved being Oswald and the privileges that came with it. Too bad he wasn’t quite up to the task of being a somebody (favorite dish: “… apple?”). I’m glad we have regular Eugene back, much as I loved hearing everyone constantly say “Oswald Montecristo.”
We’ve gone from Mick Jagger — is that really over, by the way? I’m a little sad — to Kelly Ripa and now we’re on to Ray Romano, who definitely seems like he deserves to get hit by some master criminals. So, as the French and Kelly Ripa say, “bonne chance” to the Knights, and to the rest of you, I hope there are people who are really concerned that you enjoy your lunches.

Sorry, but was that last sentence insinuating the the show is now over? Are there no more new episodes that are going to air? If so, that would really be a shame.
I have got to say, this is the best new show on television by far. I really have come to love watching this group of characters interact with each other. Fabulous stuff, and really hilarious.
Here's to hoping that the show gets picked up and continues for years to come...

I really love this show. I showed last weeks episode to my mother and she couldnt stop laughing. My favorite part was when Rockfella was introducing his person to rob next with theme music. Way to funny. Another favorite part was when Gary was eating popcorn while Louis was getting mauled.
That was also my other favorite line about Jackass.

I love this show too and I hope they don't cancel it. I absolutely loved the video they made and the fact that Kelly thought they were intentionally making it funny when they really weren't. I'm not sure why, but I totally cracked up laughing when Esperanza (sp?) said "Kelly and Eugene sitting in a tree, K-E-E-S-I-N-G." This show just gets better and better each week.

Don't worry, "bonne chance" means good luck. The show is by no means over. I was just saying that I was going to miss the Jagger storyline, if they are indeed moving on to another target.

Man, I LOVE this show!
My 2 favorite parts last night:
"Directed by Peter Jackson" - I cracked up when I read that.
The expressions on the gang's faces after Rockefeller was done with his little song about Lenny Kravitz.

Great episode. The "gay milkman" line was too funny! And Gary's line about how they are going broke from the oversized posters.

Thanks for the shout-out. Leah. Good summary! I, too, love the video.
For the record, not only do I hate dogs, but I also (as you know) hate kids.

Great episode! I loved the Patrick Swayze acronym - they should get him on the show . . . how funny! I'm good with Ray Romano because he can act like a jerk (not that he is one), and we can feel like he is deserving of being robbed.
This show gets better each week!!!

I'm so confused - I missed the episode last night and will watch it on abc.com, but I came here to see what happened but cannot make heads or tails of the blog...and the throw-away line at the end about Kelly Ripa - I thought she was the focus of the show since the Knights have now set their sights on her.
Maybe this captures the exact beauty of the show in that its essence cannot be described in a mere blog - one must experience the Knights!

Hey there tvforever, Basically what happened last night was the Knights decided they would rob Kelly Ripa, and in order to check out her house, Eugene pretended to be an architect (Oswald Montecristo). Unfortunately, he also decided he was infatuated with her.
In the end, he decides that they can't rob her, because she's such a lovely person, but instead, they'll rob Ray Romano, who's kind of a jerk.
Hope that helps you out, but if only for the scene of dogs mauling Louis, I would check out the episode in it's full glory.

I love this show also. I especially loved this episode because my daughter played the role of "Page No. 1" in it. We were so excited to see her. I wish ABC would realize how many people love this show and give it a chance. It has been on against stiff competition since its beginning. First, the Sugar Bowl, then the President, and now American Idol.

This show is pure genius. Since I watch Friday Night Lights live, I get so excited knowing that Knights will cap off my (k)night!
