No More Blog

Hi, friends! My apologies, but it turns out that last week was the final blog for Kid Nation. For those of you still watching, I hope you enjoy the rest of the season!

Now go watch The Next Great American Band. I need some comments over there, too!

And thanks for your comments these past few weeks.

What a crazy and dumb decision, whoever made it. If nothing else, this show has been a great catalyst for conversation and debate. I'd much rather comment about the grown-up aspects of this show and it's hints of social commentary than another lame American Idol rip off. I've never watched a single ep of AI, nor will I. the same goes for its cheap imitations.

Sorry David, but I won't be joining you there. Someone is really missing the boat with this one.

I don't think this is someone else's decision over at TvGuide, the cost of maintaining this blog can't be that high. I think it's more of which TVGuide staff wants to dedicate their time to maintain and post their thoughts about each episode.

Someone should keep the blog rolling, this series is already casting for their third season so the second season is already set. The show is going to continue and hopefully gain a bigger following in the TV seasons to come.

David, that's too bad. It's not that the show is perfect, but I'm already missing what you would have written about all that nasty gum they had to use to create "art."

Obviously your time is limited, but "The Great American Band" ... NAH! Catch you later when Top Chef comes back.

Not surprized or really dissapointed to see him go. He finally realized his contempt for the show was showing. I've started a fan group for anyone who would like to continue commenting on this show. Go to Fan Groups:Kid Nation

Jeez, I wish I could just skip or refuse to do the parts of MY job that I find boring, tedious or annoying. Or maybe I'm just misinterpreting the situation. If this decision was purely made by TPTB, I do apologize to David.

FYI - As far as I know, tvgasm.com and televisionwithoutpity.com are still recapping this show.

There is usually a good recap on the Community blogs section by Reality Bites. She usually posts later in the morning the day after. She's a lot better than David was on this show anyway.

I usually do a write up on Kid Nation at my blog here on TVGuide.com. Feel free to go to community blogs, and look for postings from me on the various crap I watch, hehe.

You just dump the blog, without warning, and then expect people to just hop on over and support you on another blog? No thanks....I don't want to be left hanging again.

That's odd David, I don't think I've ever seen a blog for a show stop before the show did. Can you explain it for us? I can't imagine the show is getting yanked what with the writers strike but still no blog kinda stinks. At least there are some fan ones to turn to.

And dont worry, I'll still visit you on The Next American Band even though The Likes of You were inexplicably dumped first round.

Gee... that's as bad as walking out of the room when someone is in the middle of talking to you. That's ok I will continue watching the show, but I myself won't go near AI or The Next Great American Band.

I'm really getting into this show now and I've enjoyed reading the viewer feedback here.

Most of these kids are great, their parents should be proud.

then there are the other kids, if nothing else, I hope this show reminds parents that their kids are a reflection of the way they were raised.
