I THINK KHANDI ALEXANDER IS AN EXCELLENT ACTRESS AND A VERY ATTRACTIVE LADY. AT LEAST SHE TAKES CARE OF HERSELF AND OBVIOUSLY ISN'T A COUCH POTATO! I WILL MISS HER ON CSI.

ms.alexander was the only person who could actually act on this lame show.caruso should have been fired he's a joke!i've loved khandi since news radio.now i have more free time on mondays.i hope someone is smart enough to hire her for a real acting job,maybe david simon?

If your going to post something in reference to a persons personal choice in hair styles you also need to include other people in the entertainment industry like Beyonce' for example because Ms. Alexander is not the only person who wears weaves. If you have the money to pay for it you have the right to wear it. Also when it comes down to her physical appearance if you have seen any of her work through out the years she's always been thin.
So get over yourself and leave the woman alone

Boy are the ratings ever going to drop on CSI-Miami. With Alex gone. I cannot beleive she has left the show. What a big mistake CBS has made by letting her go. She was bonded to Horatio. You will never find anyone to fill her shoes. In fact I probably will no longer watch the show because she was one of the main reasons I watched. It will be too hurtful to see someone else in that part

The ratings have been dropping since season 4. The show is really bad and Ms. Alexanders leaving - if it was because of David Caruso or for other reasons - is a great loss for the show. The new coroner just doesn´t do it for me.

Is Khandi definitly leaving the show? the tv guide led you to beleive it was temporary. CBS has got to get her back. She was the most interesting character on the show. I loved her. CBS get her back. No actress/actor will fill her shoes. I hope she didn't leave on account of David Caruso. He was the reason Kim Delany left. On screen Alex and Horatio worked great together. I hope he wasn't the reason she left. He's a bully!! Maybe he should leave.

 calliecat -Kim Delaney didn't leave because of David Caruso, nor did Khandi Alexander. Rumors fly, all untrue. Khandi tired of the grind and no Alexx storylines. There's talk she may return on a semi regular basis. Khandi has had previous medical problems. Though they never said, I wondered if that precipitated her decision to remove herself from the stress of a weekly series. In any event, she will be missed. BTW, her hair weaves are great.
The ratings on ALL the dramas are down because of the realities, especially now with reruns. The numbers for ALL the networks are down because viewers now have so many options. Television is changing almost daily. It's not even rational to compare ratings and numbers today with those of several years ago. I did an article a while back showing the decrease in numbers of ALL the dramas over time. CSI Miami is consistently in the top 20, usually the top 10; nearly always behind CSI, Grey's, and DW, but ahead of the rest of the pack. Not a bad place to be going into year 7.

I hope she didn't leave on account of David Caruso. He was the reason Kim Delany left.
callycat, there are inded rumors that Alexander and Delany left because of Caruso or that Caruso may at least have been playing a role in the quitting.
I have to admit that I believe that David Caruso´s behaviour may have been a factor in Khandi leaving the show. To me it looked rather suspicous that she left after only a few episodes after the strike.
Since CBS and Khandi have kept mum so far about the reasons for quitting we shouldn´t disregard any rumor.
Anyway, she will be missed and I hope the new actress playing the coroner is up to the task. Alexander is a great actress.

I´ll bet she left because of David Caruso and his antics. It is possible that other reasons may have played a minor part in her leaving as well. Only time will tell... (or preferrably) Khandi Alexander
