Jamessingle01, I may be wrong, but I think you're in the right section. I'd like to start a thread myself.

I don't see any "start topic" options, so I'll take the liberty here & weigh in.Open Message to Giffard:

So you declared me 2b your god-who has yet to figure out how to navigate this discussion board-& slapped the face of the one who paid the ultimate price & rose again to justify you.

I'm an inanimate object. When the cameras stop popping-when you go on in years, & old age catches up & your better years are behind you-when you're hooked up to a hospital monitor that goes "beep...beep....flatline" & eternity looms before you-do you REALLY want ME-an inanimate object-to be the one who controls your eternal destiny? Even if you kept my commandments to the letter, it would NOT be in my power to grant you relief from eternal damnation. If I were a human-as opposed to an inanimate object-I'd have to stand b/4 Jesus myself. When you stand before the one you spurned for me, what will you say to the one who holds your eternal future in His hands?

Uh, OK.... Save the mumbo jumbo for church.
Kathy is funny, she's a hard worker and seems pretty open to her agenda of becoming a star - no matter how often she denies it. She is both appealing and unappealing, and that makes her the more interesting, and human. Congrats on her and her show!
And do you ever wonder, when people are thanking god for receiving an award or not being the one robbed or killed... how do you think that makes others feel. You know, the ones who may have suffered or not been chosen. They may have been every bit as spiritual as you, yet you are claiming something special has happened just to you. And please - christians have a history of doing HORRIBLE things to their fellow man, a thousand plus years ago and continuing into the future. Work on yourselves instead of denigrating others. Do you really think Jesus had anything to do with Kathy Griffin winning an emmy? (or that she really thinks of it as her 'god'?) She went for the laugh and the publicity. She is not trying to trample on your perceived 'civil rights'.
