Why wasn't an ah Q&A session with HEROES aired?
So, posted last Friday, on the accesshollywood site, was an opportunity to ask a question to one of your favorite HEROES.
Details here and shown below:
Ask Your Favorite 'Hero' A Question! Los Angeles, Calif. (January 12, 2007) -- Are you a "HEROES" fan? If you are, then this is your chance to get ON THE LIST!
Your question can make the list of questions that Access Hollywood's Tony Potts will ask the cast of the NBC hit show. The weekend co-host will be interviewing your favorite stars at the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) conference to be held at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas.
Please click here to submit your question... and type the word HEROES in the subject line.
And tune in to Access Hollywood! The answer to your question could make the Access Hollywood show on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, and will be posted on accesshollywood.com on the same date.
The sit-down interview will be attended by:
- Jeph Loeb, Co-Executive Producer and Writer, "Heroes" - Angela Bromstad, President, NBC Universal Television Studio - Tim Kring, Creator/Executive Producer, "Heroes" - Greg Grunberg, (Matt Parkmnan, the cop), Cast Member,"Heroes" - Masi Oka, (Hiro Nakamura, the time traveller), Cast Member, "Heroes" - Hayden Panettiere, (Claire Bennett, the cheerleader), Cast Member, - "Heroes" - Sendhil Ramamurthy, (Mohinder Suresh, professor's son), Cast Member, "Heroes"
GOOD LUCK!!
A lot of the promoting that shows/sites like ah and et do are probably biased, to try to create trends, hype, or "buzz" however they see it or however they may be influenced, but do you think the Q&A session was ignored because HEROES didn't win at the Golden Globes?!?
If I could make this a poll, I think the choices for answers are either:
1. It was an unintentional omission and will air at a later date. 2. It didn't fit in the programming schedule and will air at a later date. 3. The interview didn't happen because of unforeseen circumstances (such as weather/travel/equipment problems). 4. The interview didn't happen because of scheduling conflicts of the people involved. 5. HEROES wasn't a winner at the Golden Globes, so ah dropped the idea and stopped any further "extra" promotion/exposure of the show. 6. There was another reason, the catch-all "other" choice.
If you read this and think the answer is #6 or have any comments, then, obviously, please post your thoughts.
Thanks!
Update! Looks like the answer was #4, scheduling conflicts, from the scoop from HEROESFan... I'm guessing if a bunch of people from HEROES have a chance to go to either the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) conference or the TV Critics Winter Press Tour, it seems the TV Critics Tour is the better option! So part of the info can be found about NBC's day from Kristin at eonline... Sooo... after making such a goofy post, it ended up that ah just didn't have the scoop!

"Heroes" sucks! it's BORING as hell! it's a dark show and the characters don't do ANYTHING heroic at all! all they do is stand around for the entire hour talking about their so-called "powers". the worst is hiro who is a feminine-type character who whines about everything and has to become a thief to steal a sword which he thinks should belong to him because he thinks it will make him some great superhero (yeah right). None of the characters do anything heroic whatsoever; they aren't saving or helping people. you want to talk about heroes? Superman: HE saves people, he helps them. that's what a REAL hero represents. these so-called "heroes" could learn alot from him. and he could wipe the floor with these wanna-be "heroes". not that he would because he's not violent. but he wouldn't waste his time with them anyway because he's not a thief, he doesn't whine, and he's not a dark character. when you create a show about "heroes", you should actually have the characters do something heroic; these characters should be out there doing what heroes do: saving lives, not standing around whining and doing nothing.
