Was Katherine Heigl Responsible for Isaiah Washington's Firing?
On the Ellen DeGeneres Show October 2006 Immediately After the Incident
Ellen: "Tell us about the whole situation with Isaiah Washington and Patrick Dempsey and...what happened?"
Katherine: "You know what? There was some scuffle...I was actually sitting, we were filming in Meredith's house and I was sitting on the stairs reading the script or something and so I don't know what the fight was about. It was something silly and...manly, I don't know. So there was a little burst of testosterone in the room and within five minutes everything was totally fine and they were totally fine and they're joking with each other and laughing and...I just couldn't get over the idea that if it had been women we wouldn't be speaking for...years."
My Comment: At that time it was just a silly argument according to Heigl.

Katherine Heigl Quits Contract Talks With Grey's Anatomy
Katherine Heigl has dropped out of contract talks with bosses of hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy over a salary dispute.
The star plays Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens on the show and is reportedly upset she is receiving less money than her co-stars.
A source tells American publication People, "Katie is disappointed and hurt that (the show's producer) Touchstone doesn't value her as much as her other co-stars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington.
Sources on the set also say tension has emerged after a spin-off series was announced featuring Kate Walsh's character, Dr. Addison Montgomery.
A source tells American publication Star, "The rest of the cast seemed instantly resentful of (Walsh). They each thought they'd be the one chosen to get their own show, and now they're giving Kate the cold shoulder."
My Comments: She was having a contract dispute

Katherine Heigl Is Embarrassed By Contract Dispute
Katherine Heigl has hit out at her TV bosses for going public with details of her salary dispute. The 28-year-old, who plays Dr. Isobel 'Izzie' Stevens on the hit medical drama, dropped out of contract talks earlier this week.
Heigl said, "I am embarrassed that this has become a public matter and disappointed that Touchstone felt it necessary to divulge private employment information. I had hoped I would be able to deal with this issue confidentially with my bosses. I dropped out of the renegotiation simply because I wanted to treat myself with the respect I was not getting from them."
A source told People at the time, "Katie is disappointed and hurt that Touchstone doesn't value her as much as her other costars, especially Sandra Oh and Isaiah Washington."
My Comment: Heigl was in a contract dispute. She was jealous of what Isaiah Wasington was getting.

Golden Globe Win Was 'Eclipsed' by Gay Slur
Grey's Anatomy star Kate Walsh has slammed co-star Isaiah Washington's recent homophobic rant for "eclipsing" the show's Golden Globe win. Washington called castmate T.R. Knight a "f"word during an onset fight with co-star Patrick Dempsey last year and repeated the anti-gay slur at the Golden Globes in January.
"Grey's Anatomy" was was named Best Television Drama series at the award ceremony, but Walsh admits Washington's behavior overshadowed the win. She says, "It was definitely sad. It's annoying. And it eclipsed our Golden Globes win, which I was upset about."
ABC this month announced plans for a Grey's Anatomy spin off, with Walsh's character Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd the focus of a two-hour pilot to be aired in May this year.
My Comment: We know the famous confrontation at the Golden Globes, where Heigl blasted Isaiah Washington and accused him of slurring T.R. Knight. Was the contract dispute the reason for dumping on Isaiah Washington. It may be that the white best friends may have tried to get a better deal by eliminating a star. If it wasn't so, why wasn't it mentioned earlier? This was prior to the success of Heigl's movie. She was jealous of what Isaiah Washington was getting.

You say Katherine Heigl is responsible. Isaiah Washington says T.R. Knight is responsible. I say Isaiah Washington is responsible, and no one else.

They should have gotten rid of heigl a long time ago. She is self centered stuck-up little b---- I have seen in a long time. They should have gotten rid of her after she killed Denny. But no they impact it even more by giving her an 8.5 million dollar reward. She was sleeping with everybody and anybody through the first season and now skipping on to this season she is meddling once again where she does not belong. She slept with George and broke up his marriage, she is constantly in Alex's life (see she does not want him with Rebecca) And I read in several articles about her that she is the ultimate B---- in real life. I don't want to stop watching Grey's as I think it is a terrific show but there are a few things they need to do: Derek belongs with Meridith, Christena needs to pull her head out of her butt and forget about Burke and be the best damn doctor ever which is what she started out as. Rose well she is a home wrecker too and she needs to find her own love and leave Derek alone,Meredith's sister I do not know why they wrote her in in the first place poor Meredith has enough drama in her life. I know drama and roller coaster love affairs make great TV but I just like for a few people to stay exclusive to each other. Poor George has gone through so much he studied hard, worked hard, and tried so hard to please and the writer's hit his career as a Resident and leave him as an intern but "Izzie" can kill off a patient on purpose and she sails through. What is wrong with this picture. Any last words Heigl what makes you think you are all of that. I think your a b---- and you need to move on. Whenever your lines come along in the show I switch channels that's just how much I dislike you. I hope Grey's comes back next season and I hope they come back short "Izzie". There are plenty others that can fill her space that are much better. The way people say she is in real life I would not doubt she had a helping hand in getting red of Washington. I am sure some of my spelling is off but that happens when I get angry and wish the writers would wake up.
