Defending Meredith!

Ok, guys. I just seriously feel the need to defend Meredith here, after all the crap you hear about her now.. (all Shonda's fault). So I'll just say what I've already say in a comment about the 5th episode. Ready for the rant? Here we go:

Would you people cut Meredith some slack, please?? I mean, why don't we focus on WHY she's like this, AND Derek, k?

First, with ALL the things she went through with her mother, it's amazing she has even a little bit of self-esteem. And her so called "dad"? Can you say abandonment issues??
But despite that, she had succeed in being a relatively happy woman in season 1, letting her friends into her house, & she had opened her heart to Derek & "went on faith". Remember that? I bet if Derek had proposed THEN, she wouldn't have freaked out. She was even the FIRST one to say "I love you".
But then, there was the:
- "oops, sorry, I have a wife" thing,
- then the "nope, I don't choose you",
- not to forget the "you're a whore" thing,
- the "oh? I didn't tell you about the divorce?" thing,
- and the "give me some space" thing.
- Oh! And the "I won't breathe for you" thing!! Can't forget THAT!
And Derek is wondering why she may have some trust issue about a relationship with him, huh? Oh! And you know what I really REALLY loved?? Ep. 4.04. The "proposal". Or should have sayed blackmail!!! I mean: "I love you, but if you're not ready to give me what I want soon (now)& if I meet someone who is, then I won't chose you...AGAIN!!" If he just wanted the wife & babies thing with just anyone, then why the hell didn't he stay with Addison??? Either he waits for her or he doesn't! Either he loves her, or he goes to someone else! Can you tell I hate the ultimatum thing? And does he know the word "support"??

So all of you people who critisize Mer non-stop would do well to remember ALL that she went through, & that McDreamy had not being McDreamy in a while.. (despite the hair & the eyes, don't let that fool you, lol!).

Ok, that was for my rant about Derek *blush* . But you know what, guys? Despite all that, I STILL can't see Meredith with anyone else than Derek, & Derek with anyone except Meredith... (seasons 1 & 2 do that to someone. And yeah, seeing them so cute & happy for a while at the beginning of season 3).

But now, with season 4, I'm wondering: why does Shonda want so badly to kill Mer/Der?? (& her audience with it). I understand that the non-wedding may have been Mer breaking point, but come on!! Her accepting ONLY sex with Derek?? AND Derek saying he waits but then DATES!!! Does Shonda want to break Meredith totally??? Or make it really impossible to Mer & Der to be together again, with all the broken trust??

Just.., as you can see, I love the show, but now I'm not so sure I'll watch it again.. Maybe I'll just wait for the end of the season, read the summaries, & if Shonda didn't continue on her path to break everything & have her characters acting SO out or character (Izzie & George??!! Eww!! AND for SO long?? And it's STILL not over??), I'll just stop watching.

It's just SO sad to see what's this show has become... (having Christina being JUST that, a cold heartless woman, George a divorcee, Meredith a doormat (when she had been so strong with the Derek/wife thing & her mother..), Derek being sometimes a perfect guy, then a sec later a liar (all this roller coaster gets me as confused as Meredith) etc...

Just Unbelievable..
