Goodbye 20GY, We Barely Knew Ye.

Bye Bye to Twenty Good Years. NBC has put it on "hiatus", if you haven't heard yet.

I still maintain that it was good but it was also easy to see why it didn't make it either!

Thanks to the 5 loyal commenters each week!

I'm very sorry that NBC has chosen to pull Twenty Good Years. They didn't even give it a chance to develop and audience via "word of mouth". It was a laugh out loud funny show for us over 49 year old adults, but I guess we don't matter in the tv viewing demographics, guess they don't think we have disposable income.
Disappointed!!

Two GREAT comic legends + poor writing = one sad moment in TV history
I hope someone realizes the potential with this show and maybe it will get a second chance. It was a great show premise for us over 50 folks who still dream of our future 'adventures' in life.....

Boy oh boy brendapepper do I agree with you. I am also sick of:

Infotainment shows-the same non-stories, the same clips. Last night one show ran a story about Jessica Simpson flubbing the lines to 9 to 5 in concert tribute to Dolly Parton. "Listen carefully" the "reporter" said. Then she proceded to talk over the clip preventing us from hearing the flub at all. None of the commentators seem to have any concept of the English language and it seems that the stories are little more than the promos for them string together.

The way the Danny DeVito story was manipulated is a great example of how these shows manufacture news. They kept showing the clip of him making funny faces as though that was an indication of how drunk he supposedly was. In fact the faces were part of a bit he was doing and he really didn't come off particularly out of control at all.

Judge shows-who cares about these people?

Dr. Phil and his ilk
-No real help or advice is given. What boring excuses for TV shows. And they're multiplying.

The same guests the same week on every single talk show
.

remember when people used to be on talk shows because...they could talk?
