I love Alton too! You have sooo many shows to see. One of my favorites is his garlic show. They are all hysterical, though.

MyhelloBaby, where have you been? He's been on for years on the Food network. His early shows were to heavy for the common mind,w/his breakdown on food structures. But he has lighted-up a bit. My sister can't stand him but I find him informative and amusing. I met him at the Food Network tour in San Diego and he really is a very nice person, very down to earth. welcome aboard! I have used a lot of his info and have had some very sucessful dinners, Joy15Martha

As I said I was living in the dark ages... no computer with internet... no cable that had the food channel. I feel like I'm behind the times and yes, I see according to his website that he has been on for some time. But hey, better late than never. I'm catching up. I get a kick out of his "sister" who has shown up once in awhile to bother him. I've learned a trick or two from him too and that has made a big fanbase out of my crew here at home. So, as I said...Alton..you the man.

Hello and welcome to Alton fandom! I was never much of a science geek but Alton makes learning such fun that I can't NOT enjoy the show! Be sure you catch AB commentating on Iron Chef America too.. it's on Sunday nights.

I love it as well! I, too, just recently discovered this terrific show. Alton Brown is wonderful! He is is also the main reason to watch Iron Chef America. It would be dull without him. The Food Network would be dull without him! And by the way, why hasn't this show and this man won an Emmy?

I'm a real fan too. I didn't expect to watch the food network but he has charmed me. I like his intelligence and that he doesn't dumb the show down. And he doesn't try to be adorable like some of the female cooks. Most of them exude so much sugar, I'm ODing. If I see whatshername put any more food in her mouth and say mmmmm I might gag. One thing I wish Alton wouldn't do so much are those big plastic people. A little goes a long way. Love ya, Alton!

Gordon Ramsay's FWord is cool too. This Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding recipe is delish:

He makes it in Martine McCutcheon's kitchen...(Martine played "Natalie" in "Love Actually")

I love Good Eats too, but I can't really justify paying for cable for just one show. (With my work schedule, it seems silly to pay for cable, when I'm rarely home to watch it.)
I ended up buying the DVD's from the Food Network web site. (Unfortunately, they're not available from Netflix.) Although the DVD's are expensive, you can usually sell them on eBay when you're done watching them. I even saw a couple of Good Eats DVD's at Target a few months ago, although they've since disappeared from my local store.
