Post Golden Globe Fashion Show - Racist Slur?

First off, let me say that I've always loved *any* award ceremony interview shows by Joan & Melissa ----

Until Tuesday's Golden Globe fashion show on the TV Guide channel (January 16).

When reviewing the hairstyles, a comment was made about Will Ferrell's shaggy, curly 'do. The exact reference was "Jew 'fro".

Yes - I know that Joan --- and apparently Melissa, too --- can walk a bit on the wild side of Hollywood.

But please! Racist Slurs? Don't go there - it's neither fashionable nor funny.

I believe the River's are Jewish. I think it is one of those things the rest of us can't say but it is allowed by those in the inner circle. I may be wrong on that, I never heard the expression before.
