« Feasting on Asphalt
Emmys
I don't watch a lot of TV and don't know which category 'Feasting on Asphalt' would fall under, but it is one of the most well produced shows I have ever watched and (in my humble opinion)definitely needs to be nominated for an Emmy. It may not be as jaw dropping as 'The Deadliest Catch' (nominated) or as stomach churning as 'Dirty Jobs' (also nominated) but it is as educational as anything on PBS (I learned about the moonbows in Cumberland State Park) and the production value is much better (or at least it comes across that way) then the other two shows I mentioned. Plus, with the exception of Anthony Bourdain's 'No Reservations', it blows away the other food travel shows that I have watched in the past. I have been a fan of Good Eats since it first appeared on the Food Network. I have made several of Alton's recipes and have received rave reviews for all of them. One of my favorite cooking tips comes from Alton's first cook book. Baking eggs instead of boiling them when you need a lot of eggs for deviled eggs, egg salad, etc. Keep up the good work Mr. Brown.

I agree completely! Feasting on Asphalt is absolutely worthy of an Emmy. In fact, I can't understand why FoA and Good Eats have not won Emmy's. Both are superbly written, beautifully filmed and so well produced that they are in a league of their own. Although Good Eats did receive a well deserved Peabody award, I think an Emmy or two needs to be given to this guy!
