« Elvis: Viva Las Vegas
ElvisIsGreat
I'm 64 y/o male, am still an Elvis fan since I first heard him in the '50s, I was in the 7th grade; saw him once in Vegas, and the touring 'Elvis Presley in Concert' at De Anza College, Cupertino, CA (http://www.elvis.com/concert/).
It was good to see some more of the real-life things about him, as minimal as they were, and I thank ABC for that. However, as much as Hal B. Wallis commercialized him, and Col. Parker minimized him, ABC USED and ABUSED Elvis' drawing power primarily to hi-lite its new season, and in so doing cheapened this production--ABC, IMHO, basically emulated both Wallis and Parker with this minimal program. djc
