Dr. Phil - if he'll do it privately - maybe. If he'll do it in a spotlight just like everyone else so they can USE her for publicity - NO. Everyone - including your station -used her. You used her when she was popular and now you're using her for ratings so you can rip her apart. I've always liked her music; but I've never been a crazy fan. All the same, I think it's sad that there is OBVIOUSLY something wrong and all of you entertainment people who CLAIMED to love and adore her, are completely ditching her to continue to fall apart, using her in the meantime and ripping her apart in public. Calling her a has been? DO YOU THINK THAT WILL HELP? It's quite sad. Is this how we as a society want to treat someone who's having trouble? What's happened to humanity?

Frankly, I don't think Dr. Phil is above cashing in on a little free PR. I think he said that just to get his name out there and some positive vibes associated with it so we can all say, "What a swell guy." Maybe a news magazine with toss in a blurb or Access Hollywood will mention it and he gets free advertising.

I believe he offerred to help Mel Gibson after his alcoholic melt down. If he ever did we never heard anything about it. Also Alec Baldwin supposedly talked to him after his telephonic melt down tirade to his daughter. Again nothing more was said.

Can he help her? That isn't the correct question to ask. It should be, "Would Britney accept and follow his advice?" Because he can flap his lips like everyone else and if the Brit Bimbo didn't want to heed it then there would be no help. So far, she's given no indication whatsoever that she has any intention of following anyone's advice, least of all a judge, hence loss of her kids. And if that doesn't slow her down, Dr. Phil's advice would be spitting into the wind.
