OO sounds like another great week of Days. And YAY! Lucas! Ejami fans don't hate me...I just always have liked Lucas.

You know, I've always been a Lucas and Sami fan - I still am. But I also see the chemistry between Sami and EJ. I am trying to pretend all that awful writing with the rape didn't happen. I think it is my only way of getting past it. If they end up putting Sami and EJ together, I'm just hoping Lucas does well in the storyline area. You know who I'd like to see them TRY him with if that happens? Chloe. I think there might be some conflict - but she's not related to him (shock!), she's gorgeous and Lucas (and Bryan) deserve a great story!

In my opinion someone has put a lot of thought into writing the stuff with Sami and EJ. How smart is it to have her do the seducing? It just takes a lot of the wind out of the back story - IMO.

"Chloe tells Philip she thinks they can be friends with benefits"
That sounds like someone's been watching a lot of "People's Court", that seems to be the current PC way of saying what that really means these days.
I'm also a Sami & Lucas fan, but I had started to realize that the show didn't seem to see anything wrong with what happened between Sami & EJ and that they were going to do with the characters whatever way they wanted. But just as I've been accepting that, they seem to be doing something else with EJ in making him and Nicole working together so that he can get what he wants as far as Sami is concerned. So now, again I don't know if we can trust EJ and I'm wondering exactly what the show is trying to do with the characters.

I think they want us to wonder. Just like Sami has always had the edge - I think they probably want EJ to keep one too. I'm just guessing.

Tiny Rant: I am seriously thinking of giving up the spoiler business. Everywhere I go online to find spoilers are people who want the show to go their way for their favorite and to hell with everyone else. Well, guess what? That doesn't make for a good show. One group is all about Lucas and Sami and they spend most of their time complaining about things that have been beaten into the ground already. Another spot is all about EJ and Sami and they insult anyone who thinks otherwise. One place is pretty good except for one or two people who won't shut up! Still another spot called Daniel - Dr. Statutory. Obviously unaware that a 23 year old is of age in their ignorance of the law. Then there are those who insist on criticizing Max and Stephanie - guess what? They aren't related! Why would anyone care about them putting them together???
I would like to watch this show, enjoy the better writing we are getting and some of the romance that is finally coming back! Today's show was HOT IMO. It isn't all I want to see - I want more, but I love the way Dena is mixing this up. When did you ever expect a scene with Caroline and EJ or Sami and Rolf?? Great scenes - I loved them both. And Nicole was dynamite today. I think involving characters like Caroline or Maggie in stories like this is great!
I come here and rant because people really can do or say whatever they want - and they do too. Getting into it with these negative idiots wouldn't do me or any one else any good so I don't engage them. You know what they say about arguing with a half wit? I still say all this complaining out there online hurts Days. I don't know how many times I read someone being vicious and just plain sophomoric about a story line and the next poster says something like - "you know, I didn't think of that, but you are right." This show is on the bubble, fans. It needs support and positive vibes - not criticism for everything they are trying to do. On one site there is a poster who has something negative to say every day - and she isn't even watching it any more!! Can you believe that?
You can't please everyone all the time. I'm just happy the show is being written as it is now. It's interesting, fun, funny, with lots of sexual tension. It's a soap opera for crying out loud. I wish people would watch and enjoy while overlooking any minor problem or just not watch and shut up about it! If they have to give a strong opinion, couldn't it be done without insulting half of the fan base or the performers? I know the answer because I see some people manage to do so. Maybe they could try to remember this is not real. Sami is pretend, EJ is pretend, Daniel is pretend, Chelsea is pretend, Max is pretend.....you get my point.
End of rant.

I hear ya, Cinder, and I know what you mean about some of those fan websites. I used to go to a couple of them quite frequently, one in particular was always so negative and I don't think they liked any of the characters on the show. At one time, it was a decent site where one could go to and discuss what was going on after each DAYS episode, a fairly nice give and take. But I stopped going there because all I saw was people attacking one another whenever someone expressed an opinion that was different from the majority, which seemed to be actually LIKING someone on the show. I think there are just some people who like to stir up controversies about anything and everything, and aren't happy unless they see everyone at one another's throat. I think it's alright to discuss and to have disagreements and even to say what we don't like about a storyline, that's human nature, it honestly needs to be said at times. (I think a good example of that recently was the storyline about EJ's problem about with immigration, it was too obvious an error and I'm very glad the the show addressed it by giving us a seemingly plausible explanation). But when it gets to the point where you can see all the person wants to do is stir up controversy, that's a different matter. If nothing on the show makes one happy, so be it, that's sad, and maybe the person should consider not watching it anymore; but one should respect the fact that there are others who actually like the show and want to keep it going.

Cinder....I feel your pain. I sometimes get actual headaches trying to reason with the unreasonable. I guess some people are just hatemongers.
Today's episode was extremely hot...the show is doing some really good work. Yet if you go the boards, you would think it was terrible.

Thanks Guys, I knew I couldn't be the only driven to the edge by these people. I can take disagreement - but not such disrespect. The actors are people doing jobs. We need to let them and enjoy it. This is supposed to be entertainment.

I got attacked on one of the 'nicer' boards today for trying to be reasonable and for reaching out to Ejami fans. I can't believe anyone would get that bent out of shape over a soap opera! Stop watching and shut up is what I say. I still say this infighting is bad for Days. Plus, why would anyone want to control how everybody thinks and feels. Cripes!
