I remember watching this and being so freaking shocked. This was before we knew the murders were all a ruse of course. I was horrified at the end with kates reaction- bloodcurdling...If you hated the serial killer story, at least it was damn scary and kept me on the edge of my seat for many months! Ratings spiked!
You know I didn't hate the murder storyline. I hated them killing off all the vets and I hated the outcome with that island. But Roman's really was one of the best murders. I love the blood splashing across the cake!
On a rainy day, I often go to youtube and type in various Days characters or actors and watch some of their work over the years. I recently did this with Suzanne Rogers/Maggie Horton. Many of the scenes I watched were Maggie's scenes during this story. I remember feeling so disappointed in the soap and I did quit watching for a bit when they "killed" her off. However, I could never say I hated the story because it did provide a lot of airtime for the vets and it gave Suzanne Rogers a chance to show the fans and NBC that she still had it (and boy does she!).
I thought Roman's death scenes were written and performed very well. I can remember Caroline falling over "dead" at the church and how wonderful Tanya Boyd was during this storyline as well.
You are both right - Celeste really shined during this story and she got so much airtime. have they explained where Celeste is now? has Corday or Higley mentioned bringing her back? I always though that Celeste could be with Roman - or even have an affair with Abe. For once Abe would be the wandering one - not lexie.
This murder was one of the best- except of course Cassie falling out of the bloody pinata LOL
Every now and then they mention Celeste, but not with a good explanation. I could use some of her psychic stuff about now.... so could a few people on the show!!
I so agree I have been saying for months, now years I want Tonya Boyd (Celeste) taken out of moth balls. Having Joe Mascolo back as Stefano and Theo having Autism are perfect ways to bring Celeste back.
