CSI Miami - Meager ratings for Going Ballistic

We would like to cite Matt Roush:".. and it wasn’t nearly as laughable as junk like the incoherent CSI: Miami cliffhanger, which ended with a priceless shot of a fallen Horatio framed by his broken sunglasses. Talk about characters I wouldn’t shed a tear over...."

We think this comment sums it up nicely. Episode "Going Ballistic" was one of he lamest finale episodes CSI Miami ever broadcasted. (There is only one episode that was worse - "Born to kill" Final episode season 5)
When the ME was shot, HoCaine pulled his gun and just started firing blindly. Three rounds. God knows what or who he might have hit. Scenes like this inevitably lead to questions like - "CSI Miami : comedy or drama?"

We like to bet. And we like it if we keep right. We predicted that the ratings for the final episode of season 6 may be higher than those for earlier episodes, but they won't be outstanding.
Position 7 is a so-so rating for an episode which should have been the high-light of the whole season.
Gone are the times when a CSI Miami season finale attracted enough people to score number 1. With the decline in acting, writing, editing viewer numbers have dropped continously.

Nielsen ratings for the week ending May 25, 2008 (ratings per viewer) are as follows:

1 AMERICAN IDOL-WEDNESDAY FOX
2 AMERICAN IDOL-TUESDAY FOX
3 DANCING W/STARS RESULTS ABC
4 DANCING WITH THE STARS ABC
5 GREY'S ANATOMY-THU ABC
6 NCIS CBS
7 CSI: MIAMI CBS
7 HOUSE-MON FOX
9 TWO AND A HALF MEN CBS
10 CRIMINAL MINDS CBS
11 RULES OF ENGAGEMENT CBS
12 CSI: NY CBS
13 HELL'S KITCHEN FOX
13 SHARK CBS
14 DEAL OR NO DEAL NBC
14 BONES-MON 8P FOX
17 UGLY BETTY ABC
17 DANCING W/STARS SP-5/20(S)ABC
17 SO YOU THINK CN DANCE-THU FOX
20 LAW AND ORDER

After an abysmally bad season 6 the hope remains that season 7 will be better eventually. Think positive!
Will we ever find out what the message "It's done." meant? We are not sure. In past seasons the writers conveniently forgot more than once to tie up one lose end or the other....

Our ratings are Network Primetime Averages by Viewers and CORRECT. Anything else is pure BS . Especially the claim that "CSI MIAMI ended the season on a high note."LOL.
Position 7 a high note? Position 12 in all- season-ratings? The down-trend continues. And rightfully so.
However, we understand. With the constant down-spiral in ratings one has to think positive. Lame ratings for a lame episode for a lame show with a lame lead. Especially the laughable last scene. Is that ALL they had to offer????
