CSI Miami: Countdown Begins!

We're down to days before the new episodes begin, CSI Miami being the first of the new dramas, to air on Monday, March 23rd, with "Now You May Kill the Bride".

The ratings for last week showed a vast improvement for 2 of the 3 CSI franchises over the previous week. CSI NY didn't make the Top 20. CSI LV placed 8th by Viewers and 9th by Households; CSI Miami fell in at 11th by Viewers and 12th by Households. For the 07-08 Season to Date, CSI LV placed 7th by Viewers and 8th by Households; CSI Miami rated 12th by Viewers and 16th by Households.

Other series also ranked in the Top 20: NCIS (another fave of mine), Without a Trace, Two and a Half Men, 60 Minutes, Law & Order, L&O SVU, Old Christine, and the laundry list of realities. The only reason I even post this is to see how all these play out in a week or two when all are back to first run episodes. Have a great anticipatory week.

Remains to be seen if it was worth the wait. I doubt if position 12 is an improvement for a show which has been hardly be able to keep its position among the top 20.
If Caruso's acting improved during the hiatus? We'll see. However, we don't have much hope. Season 6 is the worst so far.

If you're a fan of the show, a new episode is worth the wait. Do I expect perfection? That's just asking for disappointment.
I expect there will be parts I like and some I don't. That's the nature of their business, especially so since they're now on a tighter schedule to finish 8 episodes in 7 weeks.
I'll take whatever new I can get of the scripted shows.

They should at least deliver a watchable performance. After all hat is what they get paid for.

"They should at least deliver a watchable performance. After all hat is what they get paid for."
Over 10 million viewers weekly apparently think it's "watchable". Those who disagree have many other options. Do us all a favor and learn to use your remote more and your keyboard less.

But it also has been noticed that the numbers who think that CSI Miami or Caruso's hammy performance is watchable is sinking. It is well deserved.

Since this is a public board with pro-and con-opinions I will post my take on it like it or not.It is fun.

Most of the numbers for mainstream network scripted shows are down; that's not unique to this show or this franchise. CSI Miami this past MOnday was UP considerably over the previous week.

I wouldn't call, 12/16 a considerable up. Far cry from earlier seasons and certainly no match to powerhouse CSI LV which remeained amongst the Top Ten
