CSI Miami Challenged by TNT Premieres!
 While the ratings game for Primetime Network shows "CSI Miami" taking it's 10:00 PM time period last night (Monday), it faltered in favor of the Season Premieres of "The Closer" and "Saving Grace" on TNT.(Cable Networks are not considered in the Primetime Ratings. Cable has its own Ratings.)
According to early reports, "CSI Miami" brought in 7.72 million viewers, winning total, 18-49 demo (2.0/6 share), and 18-34 demo (1.5/5) at the 10:00 hour.
However, Cable ratings show "Saving Grace", and its, lead-in, "The Closer", showed their chops. "The Closer" garnered 7.8 million viewers, while "Saving Grace" had 5.2 million. It has become glaringly apparent that cable networks are serious contenders in the ratings arena. "The Closer" has also earned the distinction as #1 ad-supported Cable TV Show.

I watched The Closer, then switched to CSI Miami. Others must have done the same. Closer numbers are much higher that Grace.

We watched The Closer also, then switched. Most likely, we won't watch "Saving Grace", since it's opposite "CSI Miami", unless it's a night Miami isn't offered. That doesn't happen often.

I haven't seen the new season of either of those; I like Closer better. I did see The Cleaner last night. Not bad, depends on what's opposite. The major networks have quite a bit of competition now, don't they?

I prefer The Closer to Saving Grace, but I really like Holly Hunter. Who knows why?

I don't watch either of those shows.
But then again, I work most nights during prime time.
