CSI #1 on Planet Over CSI Miami (NEW)
According to Eurodata, via The New York Post, the original CSI beat out both CSI Miami, former world leader, and House, as the Number #1 rated television show in the world for 2007.
In the same vein, Desperate Housewives was #1 in Comedy and Bold and the Beautiful took #1 in Soaps.
Reality shows generally don't rate well because other countries have their own versions (wish they'd take ours).
While this isn't the greatest news for CSI Miami freaks, it keeps Bruckheimer, Zuikor, Donahue, et al, happy campers.

Miami had a couple of years at the top of the world. It's time to move over. I'm just surprised that CSI didn't take first place before now. They've been around longer. What took them so long?

I assume you mean CSI Miami is #9? Are you watching NEW episodes of Season 6 or reruns?

I'm happy the CSI got it.
I mean, I watch them all, so the fact that one of them is most watched in the world is just news to me.
Miami is my favorite, though.
Wonder if they'll ever get it again.

We were watching Season 6 until this last week when Poof!! Season 2 Blood Brothers. No idea why. I shall enquire!

Yes, it does keep the production team at the forefront! Re: reality shows, in Australia we have our own versions and see many US reality shows as well! Nothing quite like the US Survivor tho' is there!
Whilst Australian drama, particularly police and crime dramas, are highly rated here, CSI MIami S 6 rated 9th on its return, very pleasing given the quality of the new local work.
