CSI by Monty Brinton/CBS
Batman and Robin. Starsky and Hutch. Hasselhoff and his talking car. Prime time has always featured plenty of crime-busting partners. And coming up, two of TV's toughest solo acts — Gil Grissom (William Petersen) and Jack Malone (Anthony LaPaglia) — join forces to catch a killer in a special CSI-Without a Trace crossover. Inspired by the real-life saga of a murderer who rode the rails to hunt his victims, the story begins on CSI, when a murder investigation by Grissom's team turns up a link to a case that Jack and the FBI have been pursuing for years...read more

In spite of not having watched CSI in a couple of seasons (blame CBS/ABC/CW for that) I'm really looking forward to these eppies. I just need to figure out how I'm gonna get CSI.

25 Oct 07 and we're subjected to "ReRuns" of CSI already! What gives? CBS is ripping off it's sponsors and the public!
I guess no one in the "business" realizes that combining two shows hasn't worked in the past i.e. (NBC's Vegas + Crossing Jordan); (CBS's CSI NY + CSI Miami). There has been others, which I can't recall at the moment. CSI Vegas was good until too much "personal script" started getting into the story line but, so it has with CSI NY and Miami. Without A Trace is mediocre at best. Good idea but ill-written scripts and far too much personal data involved with the "players". All I care to watch is the "who, what, when, where and how" of the basic story line (catch the criminal) not the "love life" of individuals. What does 'love scenes' have to do with catching the crook? Writers can't think of enough lines to fill a 45 minute show without putting in 'sex' to pass the time?
Does anyone care?

i agree wholeheartedly with the last poster, inmoncolley. i care about the stories, not who's hooking up with who(m). I like without a trace and csi (the original) a lot, and would watch, of course. but the personal lives of the characters are of no interest at all. their on-the-job interactions are appealing only as they pertain to the case being investigated. i'm tired of the inception of a storyline to keep people watching the next week. i'd watch more without the personal crap they introduce. there has never been a law and order criminal intent that suggested a relationship between gorem and ames and that is why it is still my favorite show. even l&o svu watchers grind me when they want to see a relationship start between the partners. please, let's have one show without having to worry about what's going to happen the next week.

Oh, yeah, God forbid there should be a: 1. continuing storyline and, 2. any focus on the relationships between the investigators. I mean, that never happens in real life...

When is this episode airing? Last night was a rerun. What happened. Also, I did not see the marriage proposal that Grissim made to Sara.

Last night was a rerun 'cuz it was on opposite game 2 of the World Series -- why waste a new episode? Next week is the one-day-late Halloween show, which could either be a real horror-fest or a complete hoot -- or both, given their excellent track record on funny shows. I love "Ending Happy" by the way and had wondered why it didn't show up in the summer rerun list. Then, November 8 is the crossover, which I am really looking forward to. According to the article, Billy & Anthony had a lot of fun while (reading between the lines) Gil and Jack probably had a serious p****** contest. If you remember first season, Gil isn't exactly Casper Milquetoast. Should be fun!

I'm not normally a CSI viewer but I am a without A Trace viewer and I totally disagree with inmoncolley.I don't want to watch a dry procedural a just the facts ma'am show I enjoy the interpersonal stuff the behind the scenes so to speak a peek inthe private lives. I want to connect with the characters. One of my favorite Trace episodes Martin's aunt who is suffering from cancer goes missing and though she is found alive she is near dying and the scene of Martin crying in Sams' arms just melted my heart. martin developing a drug addiction after being injured on the job.I find I enjoy the show less when it sticks strictly to "the case"
