Send Wendy into the field

She is spunky, smart, has matured on the show, and the camera loves her -- I have always liked her camera time, all be it brief.
Developing the character of "lab rat" Wendy (Liz Vassey) would be a smart move by CBS as the threat looms of other seasoned vets leaving.
It would be fun to have her flirt with Greg a bit -- she has NO chemistry with Hodges and he is just too over-the-top acting like he is the suave lab hottie lately. He makes a great Griss lab side kick though -- the science geek bonding thing works.
Wendy has tons of potential moving out into the field and she does have a tough side with some folks thinking she was a lesbian when she first joined the lab -- that would be an interesting twist...
She proved she can carry a scene vis a vis "you kill me" and "lab rats"

I think Wendy is really cute. I felt so bad for her when she read her name on the little boardgame doll. I hope Hodges makes it up to her.
I would be interesting to see her go out into the field but I think it would be too similar to Bonaserra on CSI Miami.

I totally agree. Wendy MUST get put into the field, its the logical choice now that Sarah is gone. She is a great actress and very attractive. It makes total sense that the lab rats move into the field and doesn't seem redundant that it has happened before because why wouldn't a lab person want to move up. I hope they give her more scenes, she has really shone. The show is a little heavy on the guys right now and the blond cop does nothing for me.

I do agree with you Summer1, I am only worried that they will make her stupid like they did with BoaVista (not Bonaserra, I got the names mixed up) on CSI Miami. She got out of the lab and then everything sort of spiralled down hill for her.

Do you mean the blonde cop that used to be a csi as well? They aren't showing her very much lately at all. Infact they aren't really showing much of anybody lately.. I need some Warrick and Nick time!! ;)

I do agree that we need to see more of Wendy but I don't want her to get into the field. Greg getting to the field made sense but I think Wendy needs to stay in the lab.

If they put Wendy in the field that would mean we would need yet another DNA tech. We've already had Greg, Chandra, and Mia so replacing Wendy so she could go out into the field would just be redundant.

There is chemistry between Hodges and Wendy so I don't agree with the original poster who said they NO chemistry. I think that a relationship between Wendy and Hodges would be interesting especially if it was handled more subtly than GSR.

The lab rats are important characters and I think we should see more of all of them and I think the writers are moving into that direction with the recent promotion of Wallace Langham. I just think that they should stay in the lab.

Oh and FYI that "blonde cop" is Sophia Curtis and she has real chemistry with Grissom. Louise Lombard has way more chemistry with William Peterson than Jorja Fox so maybe now that GSR is over they will make Sofia a bigger part of the show and put her with Grissom like they should have in the first place.

Thanks! I couldn't remember her name at all! I love Sophia! She and Grissom have wonderful chemistry but they will need to give him a break first to recover from Sarah leaving. :)
They need to show more Sophia, we haven't seen her in a long time.

Yes, Wendy would be great in the field. She would work well with Nick.

Hodges is amusing but doesn't have good people skills.
