« CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
Nothing against Jorja Fox and all, but...
I am sort of looking forward to her leaving. The whole GSR storyline was putting me off the show. I like the occasional insights into the main characters' backstories, but this one has overtaken all other things.
I can see there are a lot of GSR fans on this board so I will, no doubt, get flamed... but I am looking forward to getting back to the crime scene investigation focus and off this tangent.

Well I really like Jorja. I'm not upset that she's leaving. She'll be back.
I wish they would do the same for Marg Helgenberger. Too many flips of her hair, low cut shirts and her bouncing like a cat when she leaves the room.
Is she still swinging that fanny around the flag pole with her former job or is that to entice the men.
She is too much. Also when she speaks, she has the annoying habit of showing her teeth. Thats included in when she stares at someone. She seems to grit her teeth like she is smirking.
I just want to slap that mouth of hers.
Is that acting or what.

I hear you but as you said romances keep many watchers captivated (especially women). Yes, I would like them to return to solving crimes but fans want something to hold on and the romance between Grissom and Sara was so popular and fans adore Jorja Fox. The writer's could be more creative and let them get married, Sara gets relocated and her husband keeps in touch through emails, romantic letters, visits which is what they did to Warrick and his phantom wife but now he is getting a divorce. It also leaves the door open for Sara to return for guest appearances etc. It is so predictable what they plan for next week. She starts to question her career as a CSI, come on writer's please don't insult our intelligence. After all these years of watching Sara Sidle, this simply would not happen, solving crimes is in her blood and so is Grissom. Thank god I can still watch the reruns especially on CSI Sundays! Maybe the writer's strike will do them some good to get the creative juices flowing again and by the way I do support them and deserve to have proper recognition and the pay increase. Without them, stars would not become famous and we would not get great entertainment like we do now! (except for CSI which I am still unhappy about the lack of GSR) We will see what unfolds next week and if it is sad the I will be spending my Thurs. nights now at the gym. Watch Grissom and Sara No Illusions on You Tube to get a feel of their chemistry. So sad it is ending...So goodbye Jorja and goodbye CSI! I will miss you!

I don't mind the personal side of CSI but I could never understand how they could hook Grissom up with Sara. Ugg!
I can't say that I am sorry to see her go. Her character has the personality of a door knob and sorry but she is just a little masculine for my tast. I hope they come up with a better fit for the rest of the characters. I adore all of them

I've been looking forward to Jorja leaving since she got on the show. Sara has always bored me and I didn't see the "chemistry" between her and Grissom that is apparently so popular. William Peterson has way more chemistry with Melinda Clarke and Louise Lombard than he ever did with Jorja Fox.
Now despite the fact that I am far from a fan of her I will say that she did have some chemistry with George Eads which is why I was so surprised when they put her with Grissom instead of Nick.
GSR was originally set to go in the beginning but they decided to go a different route which was probably due to the lack of chemistry between William and Jorja.
I never understood why they decided to go ahead with it after so long. I guess some "fans" enjoy forced chemistry rather than actual chemistry. That must be why they have never pursued a relationship with Catherine and Warrick who just ooze chemistry when they are on screen together.
I'm just glad that the huge WTF that is GSR is over and we can get back to the real chemistry.

Sorry, but I think Helgenberger is a vital part of this show.

Overall I don't think GSR took much time; 1 or 2 minutes occasionally. One episode had to be devoted to rescuing her; Nick's rescue was two episodes.
Most of the episodes have very serious and somewhat disturbing topics. Along with a few lighter episodes, the little snippits of GSR are pleasant.

That IS what makes the show so unique and watchable. CSI Miami on the other hand has turned into a lame comedy.
