April 5, 2007: Blog Away

My apologies, but I will not be blogging on CSI this week. However, I'm opening the thread so you can chat on your own.

See you next week.

Wow, I just finished watching the ep and came on here for something entirely different but I'm excited to be the first to post. So I'll just say that I really enjoyed the ep.

Poor Greg! He totally got the shaft from the city but I like the way he stood up to the mom. I think she'll keep a closer eye on her remaining son now. I also liked that they didn't take the easy route and make Aaron (that was his name, right?) the guilty one. Turns out the dead guy really did deserve to get shot. I had one question about the guys in the pickup though. Did they see the girl being dragged? Is that why they shot at the limo, not just because they felt dissed?

How horrible to die by being dragged to death. Glad they found out the victim wasn't the one they thought in time to tell her mom she was still alive. Yikes.

And was the Undersheriff flirting with Sophia at the water fountain? Actually, I think they'd make a cute couple. She looks pretty good in wine.

I'll mark my preview comment as a spoiler just in case there's anyone who wants to avoid hearing about next week's ep. We're revisiting the miniature killer case! Finally! Yay! I hope they solve it this time. But I suspect they'll draw it out til the season finale. As long as they keep it good, I'm along for the ride.

David?? What happened? :(

I liked this ep alot too and for once, the first time ever, I enjoyed Sofia. I think the Sheriff is totally hitting on her. Will she go for it a) to advance her career b) cause she's not getting any (as per the convo with Catherine) or c) she genuinely likes the guy.

Liked the way Greg left things with the James' family. Trying to help them out in a way. Very cool.

And Sara looks adorable in that black beanie cap!

I also liked the fact that Warrick got to tell that Mother that her daughter was ALIVE after last week having to tell the Mother of the stripper that she was dead.

Very cool.

Next week looks like a total riot. I can't wait.

Sonnet - I hope Sofia does go for it but not to advance her career. I may not like her that much but she has proven to be a stand up person. Remember, she messed up her own career by refusing to lie about Grissom's competence to suit Eckley's vendetta.

Yes I do remember that... and I hope she goes for it for the right reasons too OR she uses it to bring him down (sexual harrassment) cause he's such a creep. He was so mean to Greg tonight. Oh and... I do think Sofia is a stand up person... however, her helping Grissom out that time, I always thought was because she liked him as more than a friend. I also think that's why Ecklie got so pissed. Somehow he took it as a blow to his manhood cause Grissom's more of a man in so many ways, including being able to win over the respect and loyalty of his people - even if she might have been swayed slightly by the thought that something was developing between them. Either way, Ecklie was sort of down for the count integrity wise and Grissom didn't have to lift a finger to make it happen, he was just being himself. I do get a chuckle out of how the CSI writers will just throw stuff in out of left field on this show though cause you gotta know SOMETHING will come of the Sofia/Under Sheriff thing!! Something always comes out of every piece of personal conversation that goes on on this show. It always has a meaning.

SPOILER
Not only is next week's show about the miniature killer, it also gives the lab techs a chance to shine (per TV Guide magazine). I think that's really neat because I love Hodges. I liked his comment about becoming a C.S.I., and I totally agree. You stay in your lab, baby. Just let me see you every week!

That said, I think Greg showed amazing grace by asking for leniency for the son. He's a really good guy. I was angry at the mother until I felt her fear at losing the other son. After all, what does it profit a man if he gain the whole world & lose his own soul (or son)?

Sofia, you can do better. Avoid him like the plague, which he is!

I was beginning to think that Sara wasn't in this episode. It was good to see her turn up and provide one of the clues (check for bruising). I like to see all of them working together.

Did Hodges have the funniest line of the nite or what? That crack about working in the field being like collecting garbage. Earned him some seriously sour looks from Greg and Grissom but made me laugh. Then he found the offending bullet, adding insult to injury.

Imzadi - I agree that Greg really shined. But I'm not sure his request had any impact. More likely the city just wanted to avoid further publicity about the James family and another possible lawsuit. Sigh. But I think he did a good thing and I love how the ever-elusive Grissom rarely tells people whether they're right or wrong. I think it sends the message that one's own conscience is more important than his opinion. But that's me.

Spoiler
I heard Lady Heather's gonna make another appearance soon. I really like her but she better not come between Grissom and Sara. I'm kinda worried what Sara will do if she ever finds out what happened between those two. I bet she hits pretty hard.

I really enjoyed this episode.

*Sara looks pregnant.

*It seems like the mother should've have used the 1.2 million to open a center for gang bangers in honor of her son, not a nice huge house and a pool table.

*I want to see Sara & Grissom outside the lab.

*There is another character named Hodges on Bones- interesting both work in a lab sorta.

Tawmya - the character on Bones is named Hodgins but you're right. I have to be careful with the spelling. But I'm gonna say Hodgins is way cuter than Hodges. Those gorgeous eyes...

Uh oh, Tawmya, I suggested a few weeks ago that Sara looked pregnant and had my head handed to me. It wasn't pretty and hurt a little..;)
But, I'll join you in your possible punishment and say (again) that I thought so too.

What Ickley, oops Eckley said to Sofia could, in some instances, be considered harassment or a threat. Do as I say or else you'll end your career filing papers in the mail room.

I HOPE Sofia and Eckley DON'T get together - icks me out - he's such an annoyance and a bother to Grissom and the whole team - UNLESS she does it to get rid of the "under sherif". I keep asking myself why he's on.

Thanks Sukayro for mentioning the spoiler first - I was going to and then worried I'd get people mad - but I was still going to! People should read TV Guide. Sometimes it just repeats things said on their site but sometimes, like with CSI AND Survivor, it REALLY tells what's going to happen with something. I'm looing forward to seeing Lady Heather - sometime in May (again read it in TV Guide).

Liked how Greg stepped in to help with the second son - think he had to do that for his own internal feelings about the original happening - but I thought the look on Grissom's face - his eyes and his mouth - was a way of giving Greg the thumbs up (or did I just see what I wanted to see?)

Did anybody catch what's his name Drop something or other saying to - ooohhh - why is my mind blanking out on his name - that they'd seen each other before and he'd seen him thru "two bad hairdos"...almost fell off the sofa.:-D

I've liked Sofia from her first appearance. She's not only great to look at, she's alway very intelligent and has a sense of humor. HOWEVER, I wonder if the writers are setting Sofia up for an exit from the show. The actress, Louise Lombard, has signed on to do an ABC show called "Judy's Got a Gun," about a single mother who's also a detective. She's done the pilot but I don't know whether the network has picked up the show for next season. If it does, I'll really miss Sofia.

Aww, that's sad, even though I've never really 'loved' Sofia, I'd miss her if she leaves.

Anyway, I really liked this episode. Just when I thought Sara wasn't going to be in it at all, she helps out with the case =). Always happy to see her, she is my favorite - as I have said numerous times. I also really liked how they portrayed the James family. I really hated those characters for how they treated people, but then we got to see the good side of her and her son. And Greg's whole leniency talk was really sweet.

SPOILER
For those of you who have read TV Guides articles on CSI, you know that when Lady Heather comes back, Grissom is going to have his hands full with the miniture. I'm pretty sure, so the Lab Techs aren't going to solve it, although they may prove to be very helpful. I was a little weary about the idea of an entire episode of just them, but after the previews, I'm really excited for next week.

Can't wait for the return of Lady Heather. I like her and Grissom together much more than Sara and Grissom. (I could almost hear the gasp from all you Grissom/Sara fans!). He is too old for Sara. I thought I heard a long time ago that Warrick and Catherine were suppose to hook up. Anyone remember that or am I losing my mind?
