Is the second course tasting familiar?
The characters are coming into focus, and they look eerily familiar. Big-haired jerkface guy is clearly meant to be this year’s version of last year’s big-haired jerkface guy, Stephen Asprinio. The two big-haired jerkfaces are interchangeable, except this year’s antagonist isn’t quite as much of a target as last year’s.

Seeing Josie's goodbye made me realize something. At first, I thought she was supposed to be this years Lee Anne. She is clearly not so, given her not so humble opinion of herself. I didn't hate her or anything, but she was pretty forgetable in the competition. Last year, Lee Anne was one of my favorites.
