Don't GIve Up!
American Idol has never been a real singing talent show. An "Idol" doesn't necessarily sing that well. Many of the best singers leave early. Who knows what people are voting for. Frankly most people don't know that much about music. (I've heard so many people talk about how David Cook missed the last note in his performance this week!) Don't let this get you down - you know you're a great singer and most of us do too! I look forward to buying your music.

This is true, insofar as the only past winners to go with great success were Kelly and Carrie. Clay finished 2nd in 2003 and has been doing Broadway-style shows. And Daughtry, 4th in '06, has been a big hit. Yes, Carly will be fine, and probably can do more of what she wants than the winners, since they are obligated initially to go with the AI producers, etc.
