« What About Brian

March 19, 2007: Wowsers!

"They mean me. I'm the worst accessory." Aw, Brian. It's your fault for getting over Bridget so fast and sucking face with Legs in front of hundreds of cameras. I thought it was hysterical that Dave decorated Brian's office with all those photocopies — it's definitely a typical blow that would happen to him. I'm already dismissing his "thing" with Stephanie. I predict a big acting gig to take her away and leave Laura to get closer to Brian and settle into an actual relationship. But those are just my guesses and I won't discuss what was shown in the previews, since some of you may not have seen them. I'm definitely eager to see the finale, because I feel a big cliff-hanger coming on (or two, or three).

What was Nicole thinking by sharing her little love tumble with the baby-class mommies? Her story line usually bores me (except for the Adam twist), so I was just shaking my head at her once again. The mommies were nasty to her, though! But, I will give Nicole cupcake points for snagging that open space for Deena. How irritating was the lady grabbing all the free samples?

The argument in the cupcake shop was hilarious. (By the way, who just starts up a store that quickly?) I love Ivy and Jimmy. They are energy combined with humor combined with sarcasm combined with love. I never get tired of watching them interact with the group and, more importantly, with each other. Plus, it was hilarious when the mean mommies revealed Nicole's secret, leaving Brian stunned and prompting a great exit by Adam.

Speaking of Adam, Fatty Natty's playing games and they're not video-related. I found her little speech about not caring and showing no emotion pretty funny, but I think her antirelationship rules will break down after a while and we'll see the soft side come out. After all, she did let Adam in when he needed to talk, and I'm hoping she gave him some worthwhile advice, because ever since he became partner, work has been pretty shady, and I'm wondering how long it's going to take before he goes against the grain and puts his job on the line for the law. It was hard to watch him feel as terrible as he was when he met the client to get that signature.

As for Dave and Deena, I loved the proposal at the end (nice rock, Dave!), and it's about time they aren't the dark cloud hanging over everyone's heads. The question is, will the wedding actually happen?

There's a lot on the line as we go into next week's finale, especially not knowing if another season is picked up yet. Will Natasha show emotion? Will Adam throw her own game back in her face? Will this be the end of Stacy Keibler? Or, dare I say, the end of a show I've grown to adore? I've never before wished for a Monday to arrive like this.

I have grown to absolutely love this show. I noticed that women wrote this episode, and I welled up when I heard Dave's proposal. I sincerely hope that this J.J. Abrams show will continue and because he is so well respected, perhaps they'll give it another season.
Remember when the show first began and it was awful?.. they took it off, retooled it.... and it's now such a wonderful and enjoyable program.

I can't believe next week is the season finale. This show has grown so much over this season and has become one of my absolute favorite hours of television each week. They have consistently added great chracters to the show (Natalie, Laura, Jimmy, Ivy) and made me care about each of them. I don't know where this is going to end up next week but i know im hoping that we get another season. This cast is too good to let go. I believe that if this show was aired all summer when everything else is in reruns it could grow an audience bigger than what it has. It deserves more viewers and another season. Wowsers!

I just hope that stephanie leaves next week, cuz i love laura.

Just wanted to echo the sentiments above. This show is one of my absolute favorites on TV right now - I really hope we get another season!

I love this show also. My only complaint is the cupcake shop being open so quickly and how often Dave can get off from work. Why they do not hire help is beyond me. If they are rich enough for that ring then they are well enough off to hire help. If she volunteer to do the field trip she should not at the last moment expect Dave to drop his job to go while she at the last minutes opens a shop that neither she or he knew about. I really do not like the Stacey character and how quickly Brian job into the relationship. I love Ivy and Jimmy, they are my favorite.

This show BETTER get picked up for next season...it's one of my favourites!

I did have a tear in my eye when Dave proposed to Deena. She doesn't know how good she has it with Dave. Loved that he punched Richard the second time!

I can't wait for Stephanie to be gone and for Brian to wake up and see that Laura is perfect for him.

I noticed too that the cupcake shop opened WAY too fast....plus, is Nic putting out all the money for this???

This show rocks, I'm so sad that the season finale is next week.

Awesome episode!!! I loved the interaction between Adam and Natasha. He knows she is ruthless about her work, so she is the perfect person for him to go to. Great relationship start so far!

Way to go, Dave! I love how Dave and Deena have slowly fallen back in love. It seems like a true love story!

Enough with Stacy Kiebler! Enough with the mean mommies!

Go Brian!

This show is awesome.

The look on Deena's face when she saw Dave's cot all packed up said it through and through she did not want to lose him.

Dave punching him out was awesome for both his letting the kids heckle him into and for him getting it all out.

Brian I dont know what to think. He is the typical self absorbed mid 30's single guy verging on adulthood finally and getting caught up in things that are just crazy on his way there. I feel for him I am at a similar point in my life. LOL

This show really talks to me and my generation. I hope they bring it back next year.

I cant wait for the finally.

First....my husband looked at Brian in his suit during the show and asked, "Is that Ryan Seacrest?"

My favorite line of the night-when Deena said, "Like Brian and Dave, only successful." That was too funny.

Loved Dave and Deena tonight. The whole storyline was very good. When she walked into the kitchen and saw the folded up cot, I was thinking, NO, they have to stay together. So, I'm very happy they're giving it a second try.

Nic vs. the Mommy Brigade. When I was a stay at home mom, I found the judging to go more strongly the other way. I didn't care for that whole story line. Haven't the mommy wars been beat to death??

Adam and Nat..........not sure how I feel about that one.

I loved it when Ivy was talking about the unwritten rule that husbands and wives are required to tell each other everything, and people should just assume that the other one was told.

Stephanie is way too shallow for Brian. How long will it take him to figure that out? Laura is so much better suited for him. C'mon Brian....wake up!

Please renew!

I guess the shop thing didn't bother because it was mentioned tons of times that the cupcake place was just a bakery so it makes sense that the ovens, cases, all that stuff was there. All hey really did was apint and add some chairs. And make cupcakes.

I have to admit that the show has really grown on me. I hated it when it all started but the characters work and though I miss Bridget (UPO) I love the new dynamic with Ivy and Natasha and even Stepahnie and Laura.

Hope it makes it back

Any word on this being renewed. It's on my "must record" list.

This show keeps cracking me up. I always laugh when Jimmy and Ivy argue and he calls her "Woman!"

Oh, and I loved the little shout-out to Heather when Adam was reading the magazine.

Marcilynnj- I'm with you - want to know about next season! I hope we'll know before the season finale next week!

This show has gradually grown an audience - which I believe ABC knew would happen.

I really do enjoy the interaction between this group of friends/family.
