« The Black Donnellys
R.I.P. Black Donnellys
Sorry Donnelly fans, but NBC has cancelled our beloved Irish brothers.
The call came this morning and sadly there are only two episodes left. Whether or not those two ep's will air is still in question. The Black Donnellys will be replaced by a newcomer comedy called The Real Wedding Crashers.
If I hear anymore details I will let you know!

I loved this show!!! It was not only creative with great actors, it was intriguing and intense! There are no other shows out there that had a a style like the Black Donnellys. It was such an inventive show! When NBC has other lame shows like deal or no deal, I seriously am in disbelief. good luck nbc with airing the worst shows on television and getting rid of the best

Can't believe this show has been cancelled. Once again, a network makes the wrong decision in dropping something good & replacing it with garbage! I'm sure 'The Real Wedding Crashers' will be a long-lasting series that everyone will love. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz Now I know why I usually stick to cable networks to find quality shows.

Well, I don't know that I exactly LOVED them, but I'd rather have this than another reality show.
Especially one based on a movie as bad as Wedding Crashers. Oh, I know, it made a ton of money, but that didn't make it a good movie.
And now they want us to watch stupid idiots RUIN REAL people's weddings?
There's not one chance in hell I'm watching THAT s***.

This is really bad TV news. I really enjoyed the show and several of my friends did as well. However, I told my friend when the season started, this is not a show that should be on network TV. Black Donnleys is meant for cable - plain and simple. So, please FX scheduling gods, hear our cries and pick up the Black Donnleys!!! HURRY!!

Sadly, executives do not let a show "breathe" and will most likely replace a show that has potential w/ one that is more "mainstream" such as a reality show Wedding Crashers spin off. Heck, if a movie w/ the same title is successful, then a D+ TV version of it will be simply HILARIOUS! This is just another tragic instance of people (who by some odd family connection get the job) w/ no concept of fun/intriguing TV knowledge - play the odds. I truly wish that the Black Donnellys was given some room to grow. But hey, what do I know? If I was given the choice between watching The Real Wedding Crashers and Deal or No Deal....I'd rather shoot myself in the face.

I watched this show once and I actually enjoyed it but decided to not watch again after I saw the ratings. I had already been disappointed this year by The Nine and Daybreak being cancelled and the handwriting was on the wall with this one as well.
I think the networks are going to have to realize that CSI:Miami is not going to be knocked off its throne by a new show. ABC spent two years developing GA before they set it up against CSI. That's what they are going to have to do to have a chance against CSI:Miami as well.

CSI Miami (aka - CSI: The Cartoon) got knocked off it's throne at my house in favor of Black Donnelly's, in spite of the fact we rarely watch NBC due to poor reception. BD with snow was better than a clear day in Miami. Given a little more time, I think BD would have made it.

Both "Black Donnellys" and that show from last year with the Episcopal priest and his family would have been a much better fit for NBC's old Bravo Network (before it, too, was taken over with reality shows). So sad.
At least the people at Fox show they have some semblance of intelligence. Mainstream pap they put on broadcast, more adult fare and stuff that requires a little patience and thought on the audience's part they put on FX. One of these days the other broadcast networks may figure this out.

I'm saddened by this - my husband hardly EVER watches TV, save for 24, Numbers, and an occasional episode of CSI. But this one he enjoyed, and he would actually stay up past 10 to watch it, which he RARELY does. Now it's back to CSI:Miami alone - he won't watch that one if his life depended on it - because there's no way in heaven or earth (or anything else) that I'm watching yet ANOTHER reality show, especially one based on a movie that I thought was the dumbest, most idiotic movie I'd seen in quite some time (and I actually LIKE Owen Wilson!).

UNBELIEVABLE is all I have to say about the cancellation of this show. Who rates these shows anyway? We enjoyed watching the talented cast of this show every week. It kept you hooked and even the people I know that hadn't watched the very first episode got hooked. The only problem was it was on only once a week, you wanted to know right away what was going to happen to Jenny, Tommy, crazy Jimmy, sad Kevin and little Shawnie. I can't believe that NBC can't find a different time or a different scenario other than "cancellation". Another reality show??? ...ENOUGH...OVERKILL....Back to cable! Come on NBC bring it back!!!!!!!

I don't know why I waited so long to post this and now I'll probably never know, but, here goes:
Does anyone know the name and/or artist of the song that was playing at the very beginning of the eppy that aired March 26? Tommy was sitting across the street from Jenny's shop watching her get the store ready to be opened and the song was playing in the background. He then finally got up and walked into the shop and I think Jenny was talking to the delivery guy (meat?) about their account being very delinquent (same episode where she found out about the mailbox).
I checked on NBC's Black Donnellys page, but, couldn't find any info about the songs they used in each episode.
Thanks for any responses!

Just in case anybody didn't know, NBC.com has 2 unaired episodes available to watch online. "The Only Thing Sure" and "In Each One a Savior". I don't think they were up yesterday, but they are up now.
I hate that this show is cancelled.

I can't believe this crap! My better judgement told me from the beginning that the show was too dark to stay on, but I watched anyway and grew to love it and now this!
I happen to disagree with most of you however - I thought the movie The Wedding Crashers was one of the funniest things I have EVER seen, but I wouldn't be caught dead watching that piece of crap reality show.
NO MORE REALITY SHOWS!!!!!!!! Please oh please television gods, hear our plea......
This is such a mistake, I haven't seen NBC make a mistake like this since they cancelled Boomtown. The least they could've done was moved it to Friday to pair up with Raines. That would've given me two hours of tv on Friday. What more could a girl with no life ask for on a Friday nite? I can't catch episodes online, NBC AT LEAST PUT THE LAST 2 EPISODES ON THE AIR!!!
