Biggest Looser Makeover

Do these people think everyone in the real world is stupid? If my math is correct Brittany started at 221 and lost 49 pounds. That puts her at 172. There is NO WAY she is squeezing into a size 8! I weigh 155 and I go back and forth between a size 12 and a size 14!! Same with Dan. He went from 310 to 207. My husband weighs 175 and is in a size 34. I applaud all these people for what they have accomplished and wish I had the will power to do the same but shame on TV guide for not realizing that we would actually know how much a size 8 person would weigh and putting out false results.

It really does depend on your height and bone structure at 150 I am a 4 or a 6 and Brittany appears to be fairly tall

Um...well, it depends on your percent of body fat and muscle...These guys and girls have been working out 6-8 hours a day, lifting heavy weights for months. Have you? MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!!!!!! I weigh 140 and wear a 6.

You are so right! I "once" lost 50lbs and only went down one good dress size!!! Sure, I could squeeze into some clothes that were 2 sizes smaller than my starting point but they had to be a certain cut/style for me to pull that off (not to menton stretch fabric).

Someone please catch me up on what happened tonite!

Had to go somewhere, so I missed it. :_|

People can weigh the same and be the same height and not wear the same size.

I weigh 142 and I wear a size 6. It all depends on your bodyfat and how you carry your weight.

I agree with the original poster. Brittany is not tall enough to weigh 172 at a size eight, I don't care how much muscle mass she's gained! Not to say the girl isn't beautiful!
Anyway, I'm still fuming about the show bringing the eliminated contestants (Mark and Ali) back into the game. That's like playing a game and making the rules up as you go for your own benefit (or the benefit of the viewers). Let's play by the rules Biggest Loser, when you're out, you're out!

If you are exercizing, let alone super long like they are, you can. When I was walking alot daily, at 188 (5' 7"), I was in all 14s,some 12s, and stray 10s. Even WW will tell you flat out, the E word (exercise)makes all the difference in the world for what number is what size and how hard/easy it is to maintain it. Muscle weighs more but is smaller. Truly amazing how exercize works the numbers.

Are we looking at the same person? Have you ever noticed that Britney towers over all of the other women and some men? That is because she is a very tall woman...which means that she SHOULD weigh more than the other women to be healthy. Not every woman is going to fit into the little mold that society has established. In addition to her height, you have to consider the weight of muscle mass, which any athlete understands. I am an avid runner and I can tell you that I have never worn a size greater than a 6 and I weigh 150. When I weighed 135lbs in high school, I wore a size 1-2. It really depends on the person and how you carry your weight.

Kudos to all those who go through the task to lose weight in front of a camera.
