September 5, 2006: Mikey Doesn't Like It

For someone who claimed gleefully that he was going to hell for how he treated Erika, Mike Boogie looked shocked that the Big Brother house turned into a hell on earth for him in a matter of minutes. I was so annoyed that he jumped off of Mt. HOH, stupidly insisting that either Erika or Janelle would be forced to take him to the finals. That irks me. I know that he and Will claimed to throw competitions all season, but this blatant disregard for the game is really irritating. Plus, comparing himself to Richard Hatch isn't exactly a selling point. I'd think that one of the girls would be familiar enough with reality TV to know that taking the unlikable strategist to the end is a bad idea. His dropout also made this the lamest endurance challenge ever. Seriously. Mike jumped off within a minute, and less than five minutes later Janelle accidentally let one of her hands slip. I feel kind of bad for the prop guys who probably spent a week creating the volcano, and it never even got a chance to erupt. I'm also bummed because I got my laptop out and was all excited to watch this live competition until the wee hours of the morning, and then: nothin'.

I am pretty impressed, however, that the girls finally realized that the boys were playing them. It is about time. I've been wanting to go into the BB house and shake Erika for several weeks now. Up until Janey actually said Will's name, I was still unsure of which way she was going to go. After her lame choices during her reign as HOH, I wouldn't have been surprised if she kept her flirty friend around. My favorite part of the Erika and Janey conversation was when they collectively realized not only that they'd been used by Chill Town but that America must be laughing at them. Laughing, shaking their heads in shame, whatever. The Evil Doctor didn't look all that upset about being voted out. Worried that Howie was going to attack him in the jury house, sure, but upset? Not really. Boogie was upset at the mere concept of his best friend getting evicted. "This is our show and the bitches think they can take it away from us." He's such a charmer. I think Will hit it on the head when he said, "Who would want to date us scumbags? I don't know." Despite his nickname, I think Will is by far the lesser of two evils in Chill Town. He seems to have a good perspective on the fact that at the end of the day, this is a game. I honestly wish it had somehow been Boogie who had gone home instead. But Will's unwillingness to win any of the competitions eventually led to his dismissal.

And finally we got to see some sequester-house scenes. It's pretty unbelievable that they had to relocate because they were in the direct path of the hurricane. Marcellas said that now the only hurricane they had to contend with was Howie. The one-time weatherman has turned into a powerful tropical depression that just won't leave. I feel for James. He just looked so miserable, having to suffer through Howie fighting with everyone. Howie's out to make his roomies pay for evicting him by acting like an obnoxious bully. That's not really Jedi behavior. However, it did make for some great quotes:

"Something in there needs to die," Marcellas said wistfully while hoping that a toxic level of chlorine would be added to the pool Howie was in.

"You are a fat Jabba the Hut" — another gem from Marci.

"You are a 10-year-old stuck in a 36-year-old body." OK, that one's not hysterical on paper, but the fact that it came from the wacky dresser who is Chicken George was pretty darned amusing to me.

So Thursday night should be interesting. I wonder if Janey or Erika will win HOH and if Mike will even bother getting off his butt for it. As always, please post your spoilery comments here and your chatter about this specific episode below. Talk to you all soon.

Oh man, this was finally an interesting episode! I was thrilled when the ladies came together to oust CT. I'm not a huge fan of Erika's but if she is part of the reason CT is broken up them I'm all for it!

When Mike called the ladies "bitches" while complaining to Will I actually crossed my fingers for Janelle and Erika to come together and evict Will.

I wish it could have been Mike ousted but the look on his face when his buddy was evicted was fantastic! Oh man. Good stuff.

Howie's behavior is really embarrassing. For himself. He looks like an idiot. I remember liking him last season and at the start of this season but either I've grown tired of him or he's become even more obnoxious than last year. I'm leaning towards the latter. I think it started with this season's comment about Nakomis being ugly. I forget the way he said it but it was uncalled for. He just unnecessarily brings up peoples' looks. Just because you're beautiful doesn't give you higher worth.

I just replied in the last blog that I know these people are narcissistic but he seems to take it to another level. And I never thought there was someone more narcissistic than Will or Jase. They may have been professional groomers of themselves but at least (on TV anyway) we didn't hear comments about how fat, thin, busty, ugly others in the house are. That's his go-to insult "Oh you're so ugly/fat/busty.! It's so tiresome.

And, if you're still reading this...as for Mike's throwing the competition--I can't WAIT until Janelle and Erika take one another to the finale and he's evicted! That might just make this entire season worth it!

Just because you're beautiful doesn't give you higher worth. That's only in howie's head. He's gross.

I'm so sad will is gone!! I don't see a reason to watch anymore. How many times have I said that?;)

To see my feelings about howie, look in my blog.

I was glad George stood up to him, someone needed to and I never thought he'd be the one. James looked pretty disgusted with him, didn't he? And he looked sick when Danielle walked through the door.

I think if erika and boogie go to the final, it's a tossup, probably boogie though, but janelle will beat both of them. She won every other HOH. Or pretty close and the last 4 POVs. How can she not win?

How can she not win?

The same way people believed Chill Town Could not be taken down. It can happen, I just hope it doesn't.

The main reason I don't want Booger to win is because he's too smug for his own good. He thinks he's God's gift to this game and he's not. Although he played the showmance with Erika to a tee, he's been riding Will's coattails this entire season and doesn't really deserve the win as much as Will should have. I'm not saying I wanted Will to win, I just think he played the game better than Booger.

LUVIT, LUVIT, LUVIT, LUVIT!

Man, this episode has been the best this season for me, I SOOOOO loved it and I really wanted Mike to leave but since that wasn't gonna happen I had no expectatins for it whatsoever and once again... when I'm preparing myself to see Janey lose and get evicted SHE DOES IT AGAIN! When they showed the SH footage I was like "Howie's must be really annoying to be arround with now, he's way over the line, he should shut up...", but then I was like HELL NO! I've really disliked Marcellas, James and at times Dani and CK, so then I was like "you keep on giving'em hell howie!" I bet they all thought it was all gonna be just another boring watching eviction tapes, sequester staying...well not if Howie can help it, haha lol.

NOW IT'S VETO and Janelle really looked like she was gonna lose that one, but uh-uh, 5TH POVE, now James can no longer brag about being the Veto King, 'cuz there's a new Veto Queen in town and it's another J.

I was sure the fun was over for me here 'cuz Janey would evict Erika and just keep being her knaive self, but wait a minute... is Erika up to, is she?, is she?... and Janey, are you?, are you?... HELL YEAAAAAAAAH! When Mike said "This is our show and the bitches think they can take it away from us?" It was the top of annoying/hate that I thought Mike could cause me, but then they kept showing more Janey/Erika plotting and it was SO good I didn't believe it myself when Janey evicted Will. Now I never understand when people start whispering on reality shows so I keep the closed caption on when watching BB and altho it told me otherwise in my mind Janelle evictin words were more like: "Will, this is for Howie...BYE-BYE BITCH!", lol. Man I've always lamented over Erika being considered an all-star, but tonight I think it was justified and was actually rooting for her (after Janey won POV of course) and it's the first time I ever loved hearing something she said with those final words to Will, and the man thinks his lies didn't let him getting further, dude they got you to FINAL 4!, it was your laziness to win competitions that got you out suckaaa!

I know, I know, I've taken over the whole blog but it was THAT good.

I'm a big Janelle fan, but the fact alone that the biggest eviction of the season was "for Howie" diluted it a bit. I have never been so embarrassed watching BB as I was watching Howie tonight (and since this is BB we're talking about, that's saying alot). Kudos to George for being the bigger person. Howie's a joke and for everyone who thinks that Mike's actions have been deplorable, I encourage you to tear Howie apart this week--he more than deserves it.

Great episode, but sad Will is gone:(

I agree with Angel that the HOH comp. was lame though, and I was wondering if they were going to say something about Janelle taking her hand off. Mike taking himself out right away was just plain stupid.

I was happy to see some footage of the sequester house too. Was wondering if that hurricane was headed for them lol. Although it makes for great tv, Howie is (to repeat myself from the other blog b4) an immature, sore-losing, nasty and as my hubby said bully!

I mean really, when George walked in with that sparing helmut? on lol Howie walked up to him and whacked him in the head, I thought he was kidding, but now I don't think so. I think he likes knocking people in the head..thats the second time..unless he likes hats? He really had the nerve to pick on Chicken George? Wake up and smell the real world Howie, this aint Star Wars...you are making a complete ass out of yourself on national tv!

Will..sad to see him go. I was surprised that he lasted so long, but was glad he did, and thought he deserved to win along with Janelle. He seemed a little surprised that Janelle voted him out, but I think he knew she was playing him right back at em. I think he went out as a great player, cheers to the Dr., the master manipulator I'll miss him in the finale.

Mike...sheesh! Another one. The first one to sarcastically call Howie a real "class act", and then he goes and acts like he did tonight. No offense, but what comes around goes around, and I think it came back around and bit him in the butt, and he aint likin it;\ He seemed more surprised that Will was evicted than Will did. Sorry Mike, but you deserved that one. It should have been him going and not Will..oh well.

Janelle...wow! finally, she used her head. I think it was a tough decision for her though, and I think Erika did sway it a little. She did awesome once again in the veto comp. Was never a great fan of hers, but she is definitely the best BB competitor hands down. I liked the little flirty thing with Will, seemed like they really did have chemistry together, even though they were both playing the game.

She did lift her hand off that key, and glad they caught it, that would not have been fair otherwise. I think Boogie shocked her when he jumped off (I won't even bother talking about his comparison to Richard ROFL), and she just took one hand off not even knowing she did it.

Glad she used her brain. Not that I wanted Will gone, but I think by her making that decision, it gave her the game (if she makes it to the final two...lol, like she wouldn't).

Erika...Great Job! So glad that she let everyone know she has a brain, and can use it. This isn't funny, but I think taking up smoking might have helped her in this season...it sure did give her a lot of one-on-one time with Janelle. Between that and the wine...she got through to her tonight. Made Janelle realize she can win against her, but probably not Will. Very smart.

Most of all I am so glad that she played Mike better than he played her, in the long run. I don't think she was taking the "showmance" as serious as they portrayed. She was on to CT, or at least she is now...good for her. She can hold her head up high IMO. (Except for seeing Dani in the end:O, for some reason I don't think that is sitting well with Dani even now)

Wow, I really need to go to sleep lol...BB overload today. I am sad and glad at the same time. Sad to see the Master Manipulator walk out the door, but glad the girls are standing up for themselves. Now I hope it's Erika and Janelle in the end. Mike should just leave lol..he ruined it for me tonight with his giving up. He looked mad, and again IMO that's poor sportsmanship.

Goodnight All:(:)

FIIIIIINNNNNNAAAAALLLLY! Now we're cooking...too bad it is two episodes away from the season finale :( Angel, I agree with you...the producers must be disapointed by all of their gimmicks that have failed this season: the coup d'etat that never was, the volcano that never exploded...

I'm so glad the women figured it out!!!! I was getting so sick of all of this "bros before hoes" talk all season...can we get any more misogynistic?

Anyway, I have some questions I need answered...please help!

1. Did we ever see footage of James entering the sequester house? I thought I had seen all of the episodes this season, but maybe I missed something.

2. Do the people in sequester get to watch any footage from the show besides the eviction tape they bring in?

couldn't leave for the night without answering ya lol.

1. No, you didn't miss an episode, they never showed him going in. Just Marcellas and Howie that one time, then the rest tonight.

2. Do the people in sequester get to watch any footage from the show besides the eviction tape they bring in?

2. No, as far as I know it is just that eviction tape. They do not see anything else that goes on. But, I guess they all chat amongst themselves on how they got evicted and what happened i.e. Erika/Danielle etc.

Hope that helps.

analytichick--I'm 99% sure that they are only shown the eviction tapes--and I remember when they were actually vhs tapes! That's all they are given so they can only make their decisions on what they already know and what little BB chooses to divulge.

And this I'm less sure of, but I don't think they are allowed to watch any TV, read newspapers, or use the internet in the sequester house. They are pretty much living the same lives as in the BB house--only as evictees.

And we didn't see James enter the house--which I had hoped for also. I think we might have if they didn't show the hurricane transfer story. And Howie's many tantrums.

Yes, I'm also wondering 'bout the James walking in the sequester house footage, I've seen all the eps. and don't rememer watching that, what happened there ?

And no, they cannot see more house footage other than the elimination tape 'cuz part of the reason Dani lost her season is because they saw all her nasty talk in the HOH room, so they don't let see the jury that anymore in order to not influence them.

OK, so the HOH competition has multiple parts right? I saw Janelle take her hand off that key...while I'm really wanting her to win it, BB did what was fair. I can only imagine the drama that would have unfolded. Boogie is dumb, Erica needs to go. I hope Janelle pulls through and wins it. Boogie is just trying to turn everything around and have the girls feel bad for him. Pity party of one?

OH MY GOD!!! I LOOOOOOVVVVEEEEDDDD this episode. :-p:-p I was sure that with the way they edited the show Janelle was still going to evict Erika - but no, she finally made a smart choice!!! And the look on Mike's face was priceless!!!! I REALLY hope that Erika does take Janie - though Janie will likely win the last HOH and make this a moot point - and that we can laugh at Mike once again. It would be totally sweet justice if the boys of Chilltown got this close and then lost it. I am so looking forward to Thursday, though will likely cheat and look up the happenings on JokersUpdates so that the suspense doesn't kill me]<img border=">

GO JANELLE!!!!!!!!

Mike can play the whole "Richard Hatch" card all he wants- I think it will be the last game he plays in the Big Brother house! So much for being a "class act" when he realized how the tables had turned- hopefully it will continue to be true that quitters always lose. I am so proud of Janelle- 11th hour and she finally figured it out and pulled it off- the eviction, but sadly also her hand off of the big Volcano key...sigh. The fact is that the only time Julie said it had to be 2 hands was when Erika asked, and Janelle was so busy moving around and figuring out her position that I don't think she was listening. Hopefully Mike will continue to believe that the girls "have to" take him to the final 2 and so he will throw the next part of the HOH competition as well- and then it will be bye,bye Mikey...

I have just one comment to make, and shall do it in the voice of The Simpsons' Comic Book Guy:

"Shortest. Endurance challenge. Ever."
