August 29, 2006: Paging Dr. Howser
It's Doogie, or rather, it's Barney; either way, I'm digging the fact that Neil Patrick Harris is a Big Brother fan. You may say corporate synergy and all that, but I think it was so cool that he got to go into the house and liven things up a bit. I know that in the past I've seen people get out of the house to go to show sets as prizes, but has anyone (who wasn't on a previous season of Big Brother) ever come into the house like that before? It doesn't surprise me all that much that Dr. Will is a fan of Dr. Doogie. Neil's Barney character is someone I imagine Will can really relate to. Do you think that Will's got Barney's rules of dating memorized? I bet he suits up when he goes out. But it almost bordered on obsession: "All he wanted for Christmas was Neil Patrick Harris." That's a little weird. Don't get me wrong, I love Neil, too, but I'm thinking for different reasons. I thought it was especially neat that Neil got to do a diary session, play on the trampoline and even bravely taste slop. His comments were dead-on: "The houseguests got a lot of clothes, which they desperately needed because if I see Mike Boogie wear a Dolce shirt one more time on the show... really." Then he called George "simple." Yeah, he's got them all pegged.
I wasn't sure if Will was happier about Neil or the trampoline, but combining them seemed like it made his summer. "First a trampoline and now Neil Patrick Harris. What's next? I'm going to win the show?" At this rate, it doesn't seem too far-fetched. I cannot believe that Erika nominated Danielle instead of Will. I'm shocked. Seriously. She keeps saying to Mike that she's going to kick his ass if he's playing her. If she's suspicious enough of his motives to say that, then she should know better than to trust him. He wouldn't even give her a straight answer when it came to whom he'd choose in the final two; her or Will. Now Erika's got no chance of winning, and I've got a hunch that any of the houseguests who hear Danielle's side of this story in the sequester house will be less inclined to throw votes Erika's way. They'll just think she got played, plain and simple.
Will and Janey seem to think that Danielle lost her mind when she discovered that Erika was planning to get her ousted, but I truly think she was just mad and tipsy. I can't believe more people don't turn into angry drunks when they are up on the block. I'm sure I would be... especially if all I had to eat in the house was meat and alcohol. Loved her sitting and being annoying by ringing the doorbell. Why be nice to someone if they betray you or plan on betraying you? "If I went out by Chill Town or Janelle I would understand," Dani told Erika, "but by you... it hurts." And I'm sure watching Boogie and Erika canoodling just rubs salt in that backstab wound.
Random stuff: Who knew that George had been struck by lightning? The Chill Town boys raised a valid point: Why did he wait 60 days to mention this? I'm sure after a week in, I'd be like, "Did I ever tell you about the time that I had thousands of volts of electricity charging through my body and I passed out?" But maybe that's just me. Boogie threw the POV competition, but more surprisingly, to me at least, was that Will actually tried to win it. I cannot believe that it took George 24 minutes to solve that game. Wait a sec, yes I can. This is "simple" George after all. But Janey rocked that game with her one-minute time. She must have been flying. I'd love to have seen her whole part in real time.
Here's to a sure-to-be-memorable Thursday show, especially since two evictions are supposed to happen. Still not sure how they are going to squeeze all that in, but it wouldn't surprise me if karma came back to bite Erika and she followed Danielle out the door.

I can totally see now why the live feed was down for so long during the POV competition. 24 minutes?! Holy Canole!
I'm not a big fan of Dani, but her ringing the doorbell was priceless. She even started to giggle at herself. If Erika can't see the light (maybe it's the hair blocking it) when Boogie was all kinda of hesitation about taking her to the final two, then good riddance Bikini Girl.
By the way, Janey rocks.

Was I the only one that wished we saw more of what the house guest got as gifts? Isn't nitendo a little out dated? Danielle was great but by pulling a Jase she has damned herself. Erika is so clueless and spineless. Why are all the women so easily manipulated by chill town? It makes me sick.

This is the first episode I've seen in awhile. It was pretty entertaining.
I'm really glad I didn't miss it too, since Doogie Howser was on. Last year, when I was deciding what new shows to watch, I chose How I Met Your Mother because how can it not be good?! I mean it's got Willow, Doogie Howser, AND Nick Andopolis!!!
Ok, back to BB. Angel, I bet you're right about will knowing all of barney's rules. I would even bet he's used the 'lemon law'. :D
Double elimination week, huh? I think it'd be funny if danielle and janelle left. And then will and mike's biggest competition is erika and chicken man!?!? Now way either of those 2 would beat either of the chilltown boys.
I am amazed at janelle's time in the POV. I bet that none of the contestants in ANY season of BB could beat that. She's the only person who has a chance of winning against will.

As always, thanks for posting your review so promptly. It was definitely a treat to see a "special guest" in the house. I couldn't actually believe it at first! Thursday night should be a very scary roller-coaster ride!

TAKE THAT YOU STUPID SUNDAY NIGHT EPISODE !!!
Wow, this episode was hot as Janey, I bet Erika tried
really hard to cry during the POV ceremony bcuz every time she said how emotional she was it just came looking like a 2x4 with a wig talking. Man I loved Danielle's breakdown it was so cool tv to watch, so I guess it doesn't feel good having the knife on your back instead of your hand. I think Marcellas will roll over the floor laughing if he gets to see this, however I do agree with her on the fact that having Will, Mike or Janey get her out would've been fine, but it even hurt me watching Danielle from season 3 been put out by Mike's airless rubber doll.
oh, and did I mention how much JANEY ROCKS ?!! She has won POV four times now so James can't no longer brag about being "the veto king", man none of the HG's could or tried to hide how amazed they were and poor Mama Doom even tried like she's never done before, but what the hell !! everyone knew that Danielle only worked when she had an army of people behind her...too bad that their children turned all Norman Batesy.
A lot of people are surprised that Will's still in the house, however I'm more surprised Gorge is still in the house.

Anyone wanting to see Thursday nights show be sure to check when it's on. Where I'm at it's not on till 2 AM because of football. Football on this Thursday of all nights.

I support anyone who wants to go out with a bang, I mean if you're leaving anyways why should you do it "with class" like James ? HELL NO !! I say get drunk and annoy the hell of everybody else...Yeah, Danielle !! How cool would it be if she pulled a Howie exit on Erika ?!!

Anyway, Erica is sooooo dumb! I can't believe she did that. It was her only shot and she blew it. I am not sure who I want to win HOH next because I don't want Janey to get herself in trouble since she promised Erica she wouldn't nominate her. You have to give Boogie credit. He is playing her hardcore and she is falling for it hook line and sinker.

If Janelle does win HOH, she just told Erika that she wasn't coming after her. But....if she were to get mad over something stupid and not forgive Erika and just be mad at her she will be able to make her nomination personal.

Spoiler Alert-
FYI Danielle had less then a glass of wine and was acting like that.
I doubt if anyone would vote for Ericka, she floated for most of the game and never really played, she was led most of the way.
I think if Janelle or Will get to the final 2, they would have a great chance, simply for playing a great game. If it is Janelle and Will, then I think Janelle wins. Boogie and Will, Will wins.

angel im with you......i would also be on a drunken tirad being bored and cooped up all with the same people day in and day out. alcohol will make anybody do that. shoot i was almost like that about a month ago visiting my family for 3 weeks. but thats a different story
i loved tonights episode. this was pratically one of the funniest episodes of the season. danille defianlty lost her mind. i did feel a little sorry for her standing outside of the hoh door ringing doorbell over and over like an idiot. i wanted to jump threw the tv and smack her to tell her "ericka isnt coming to the door."
i had to agree with neil patrick harris about mike's shirt.....it has to go. im also getting sick of looking at him in it. actually im getting sick of looking at mike period. i had to roll my eyes at him when he called the trampoline a "pimpoline" im ready for him to next.
but on to janey. YOU GO JANEY!!! after winning her what 4th pov comp and winning 3 hoh's this season she is defianlty the big brother princess. she is defianlty deserves to win this game. GO JANEY!!!

Angel - Thanks for taking my suggestion and creating a separate blog for spoilers.
Last night was great! I agree that I would probably go on a drunken tirade at being betrayed. It kind of surprised me that Danielle didn't just go to her room and cry instead because she seemed so emotionally vulnerable on Sunday's epidode.
Having a guest come into the house was a real treat for the viewers as well as the houseguests. It cut down on having to watch the Boogie/Erika and Will/Janelle Showmances both of which are getting sickening.
Can't wait until Thursday to see who else gets evicted and how they do it.

Thanks Angel for the spoiler board, Now I can watch the show and be surprised.. but also I can go check out the spoiler board after I watch the show to get some insight into what happened during the live feeds.
I am so with you on the "pimpoline" comment- come on- how old is this guy? He's got to go! The "showmance" is really creeping me out.
Go Janey! Loved watching her win the POV! I'd be happy to see Janey, Will and George in the final 3.
