August 20, 2006: The Blonde Stands Alone
So Janelle's only remaining ally, Howie, was ousted from the house. Can I just say that I love it when people go out all ticked off instead of with the lovey-dovey fake hugs? Anyway, now Janelle's in it for herself. There was this one great image after Howie left of the whole house clustered around the table and her standing in the middle of the kitchen by herself. While so many people say they are in this game for themselves, now she really is. But since Mr. Boogie won the HOH competition, the odds of her being nominated are pretty great. If she does go this coming week, and the Legion of Doom continues to dominate... that might make the rest of the summer a bit boring. I get excited by some shaking up, but since Boogie won HOH and is unlikely to use the coup power on himself, that potentially cool twist is going to go to waste. And Will is already back to using his lame "nominate me" strategy. Have we already come full circle?
Oh, and did anyone else think they went with a pretty lame answering technique for this week's HOH comp, after last week's problems? The whole "stick your head through the cutout hole" was very theme-park-like, and with the gnomes I just kept thinking that maybe I was watching the Big Brother Carnival and they just forgot to make pretty banners. Hey, they've already done prom night, so it isn't that unlikely.
Despite the fact that Howie had an excellent exit, I'm not altogether sorry to see him go. He really did seem to be riding the Season 6 coattails all summer. Plus, George gave him the chance for a rebuttal and he let debate champ Boogie do all the talking. Howie made a big mistake by not being vocal until his butt was already on the line.
My favorite part of the night had to be Janelle's conversation with James right after Marcellas' eviction. When Janey confronted him about his vote and asked how he knew which way the other side was leaning, he just said, "Because I do that." He does do that playing-both-sides thing very, very well. Maybe the other Season 6 players should have thought about that before they snagged him for their alliance.
Two reminders for tonight: Tuesday's episode is on at 9 pm/ET instead of 8 pm/ET like normal; if you are posting stuff about what is happening in the house, please remember to put "Spoiler Alert" at the top of your comment.

Thanks for telling us the change of time. I didn't stick around to the bitter end.
Howie's eviction was one for the books. And Janelle being alone might actually buy her a few more weeks. People should be smart and see that an alliance of one is pretty weak. Now it's going to be Erika-Danielle-James vs. Chilltown. George and Janelle should form an allliance or better yet an all female alliance. Mmm. I'm hoping for too much right? Because knowing my luck Janelle will be ousted this Thursday and I will have to stop watching the show.

I just wanna know what did I do to Reality TV ?
Am I ever gonna see a season finale on a Reality tv show in which I don't have to try real hard not to vomit ?
after I watched tonight's ep I read on-line of how Janey was after Howie got evicted and checked out a video from this and man... I just can't blame her for feeling so down! and it is very sad seeing a person breakdown like that when you know how strong she is !
I'm not even gonna try to fool myself into thinking that the others left in the house aren't so stupid as to not see how idiotic it is when five people in an alliance with two side alliances come after one person who's totally by herself, so I'm preparing myself to see favorite buxom blonde leave on thursday.
However, altho I'm quite mad at George for being everybody's robot floater (not that I should've expected otherwise really) I must say that my second favourite part of the show was watching him stand up in front of the snakes and tell them right to their faces: "...Janelle is a great player and I will not throw her under the bus like that...", man that was something that none of the "smartest players ever" would have the gut to do, so even tho I'm still upset for him putting Howie on the block, I say bravo CK !!!
Now my favorite part tonight was definitely Howie not shutting up when he got evicted, I love the fact that he didn't just held up all of his anger like Marcellas did and just confronted everybody... I must also say that at this point I think I'm more intrigued to see what'll happen in sequester house, I just hope that for Marcellas' sake that Howie doesn't get there as mad as he left the house.
JANELLE AS ALWASY YOU'RE THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!

Yes, tomrd16, I agree. Sure I'm pissed that George did that to Howie, but when he defended Janelle like that it was just such a breath of fresh air since this whole season it seems like everyone has been against Janelle.
I've already made peace that it will take a miracle for Janelle to not only survive this week, but to win the whole thing but until she gets evicted I will root for Janelle through and through.
Go Janey go!

I mentioned this on another blog, but it would be so cool if Boogie still used his power of HOH and CDE in a backwards way. For example, what would happen if he made one set of nominations on Tuesday and then on Thursday use his CDE to make the real nominations he wants. I think Boogie is too smart to let this power just be wasted. However, maybe this is all just wishful thinking.

It was an action-packed show, even if the editing again was somewhat misleading. They failed to show George PROMISE both Janelle and Howie TWICE that they would be safe. No wonder Howie got so upset. But being a loyal friend, he'll be cool with CG later. Being that Janey stayed I can still watch her fight them off... one after the other.
For you Howie and Janelle fans... watch this video of the two of them... very adorable. Listen to Janey's comment to CG in the last 10 seconds. 'Sigh'.http://forums.jokersupdates.com/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=bbusapics&Number=3790122&page=&view=&sb=5&o=
Hmm... maybe the two sould do a cable reality show together... where she can teach him how to live in the real world.
SPOILER ALERT!!!!
CdE has been void and null due to Boogey talking too much. He has not informed HGs yet... except for a couple of those closest to him. Julie will announce this on Th.
Janey was nominated with James... BUT SAVED HERSELF!!! James a real cry baby about the comp. Janey has now alligned herself with CG and then ChillTown separately. They all asked her. Hopefully she won't be betrayed again, because what happened in the house after Howie left was hearwrenching and the saddest reality TV ever. Good there was a Doctor in the house to keep an eye on her getting her out of the bad depression. It took Will 5 hours of coaching. Jedi Janey is back!!!! )

well, Tiggerella I donīt really apriciate the fact that you just CANīT HELP IT WHEN IT COMES TO THE SPOILER POSTING !
HOWEVER, with that being typed, I really wanna thank you for that link to Howie and Janelleīs video, cuz I think this is the first time I have come so close of being about to cry over something happening on a Reality TV show, and with THAT being typed....
I HATE GEORGE AGAIN !!!! the other times he could still try to defend himself cuz he was careful enough as to not literally promise anything to anyone BUT this time he did it and has no excuse, I was just getting over the outrage of the First Season when his wife started giving away money in order to keep him in the house and NOW you, you, you....ahhh.....you know what ? I think it's better if I don't get distracted with CG and keep my hating eye onto Mike and James......for now...

Right after CG got his HOH room, CG repeatedly told Howie "I need you to play" for the Veto. Because CT had the secret power, CG had no one left to put up BUT Howie or Janie and since Janie didn't play in the Veto comp, Howie went up and out.

Did anyone else notice the hickey on Boogie's neck. After I saw that I was so ready to see Erika go.
Tonight's show was good because so much stuff was packed into the hour, but I did NOT like the outcome. When James won POV I was done!

What is wrong with you people?!? Janelle is like one of those hateful girls in high school that couldn't get along with other girls and wanted all of the boys to be in love with her. She wants the girls out. She is a poor sport and is a brat when she wins anything. She deserves to see that it is not all about her. She can't just "give Will attention and get him to do what she wants."
I personally love Chill Town and the Legion of Doom. They came from behind and took out season 6 one by one. Don't be surprised by Chill Town's behavior. They have always let people know not to trust them.
I wouldn't mind seeing either one of them win, but I am rooting for Dani!!! You go girl!!!
